    Adventure stone upgrade????

just completed my 10th successful adventure last night out of EC. i have talked with the NPC there and received the learned more lore msg, as well as go learn more after i hailed him to many times. yet i notice my adventure stone has no upgrades to it.. when i asked for some info in /ooc in PoK about my little green gem... i received some interesting feedback that id like confirmation on please. 1.. you must be level 65 2.. you must complete 10 in ea theme before you get first upgrade (i thought you could not get 2nd upgrade in 1 theme until you finished the other 4) 3.. to show it much be in a charm first some confirmation please on what is going on, or do i need to contact a gm and wait a decade for them to reply and fix it? thanks for the info and feedback

Ok, no way do you have to be 65, and you only need to complete 10 in one theme. The stone does have to be in a charm, however, for it to work properly. Be prepared for a big letdown because with 10 wins in one theme your stats are less than amazing - +1HP +1mana... yay... Piemur Notebender 61 Punker of Prexus

yes was prepaired for the only +1 to those 2 stats, but was not aware i needed to have it in a charm. looks like ill be spending some timein dulak to see if i can get a charm off one of the boats or colect all of the coins for the charm quest. no way am i waisting adventure points on a charm that only works part of the time *grins*. what about if i put it in a charm, can i get it back when i get a better charm?? or is it lost like normal augments?

If you have the planes charm.. attach it to that.. that what i eventually did.... hehe As for getting changing it to another charm.. I'm not sure.. I thought that the augments get destroyed when you undo it from an item..... Not sure if the adventure stone falls under that.

    Re: Adventure stone upgrade????

you can buy charms from LDoN merchants that only work in LDoN but you can put the stone into them. If you want to later change you can buy the solvent and disolve it. Then just hail the wayfarer in any camp to get new one. The stats should still be there. You also need to zone to see the change in stats after your 10th win and you hail the guy to get the messages. If you have not hailed the guy after every 2 victorys just keep hailing until you get the red you need to do more adventures message. There is also the, as mentioned, free charm available in PoK from the dwarf in the building between the PoT stone and the soulbinder. Hail all the dwarves in that building till find the right one. Think he is only one but could be wrong. The solvents are of 3 types. You need to by the one for whatever slot you are wanting disolved. For instance you have a pre LDoN wep with 1 slot then you need to by the type/slot 1 solvent. If you have an item with 2 slots and want to disolve the aug in the second slot you need to get the type/slot 2 solvent. The solvents are sold at the magus in each camp.

visit your home town and follow the yellow text and the instructions that follow. it is the stone that alows you to port from waycamp to waycamp and every 10 successful hunts from each camp you get stat bonus to it when it is in a charm. i do not know the end details, but after IIRC something like 50 wins (250 wins in all, or is it 100 wins per camp for 500 wins) you get something nuts like +10 to all stats, +100 hp, +100mana, and +50 or something nuts to all resists. after all that work it is a rather nice augment to any charm out there.

    Re: Adventure stone upgrade????

I have over 50 wins it is now +10 mana +10 hps +1 to all stats. After this you must go to another camp and talk to them there for each 10 wins for a further +1 to every stat. It MUST be in a charm for it to work for a total of 100 wins at each camp for a total of 500 wins for a full +10 to every stat as final which by the was stacks with the charm its in :D .

Does anybody know when you get another upgrade to the Charm? You get one when you get 10 in one camp, when do you get the 2nd upgrade for that camp? 20?30?50?

    Re: Adventure stone upgrade????

There is a Charm Slot on your Character picked up several different ways, bought with LDoN pts, Dropped by mobs, or by the affore mentioned Dwarf in PoK. These Charms work under certain "conditions". Example the one from the Dwarf gets better as u get flagged for the PoP planes. Now to use the Adventure Stone from LDoN u must have obtained one of these charms and "augment" it. To Augment anything u have to have an Augment, go figure, and an item u want to "put it in". Now all u need to do if find the bird bath looking thing next to the LDoN adventure site and click on it. It will open up a container in which u will put the 2 items in and hit combine this will give u a new NO DROP item. Yes it will change a Droppable item to No Drop item. Now to get an Augment out of an item u need to find a Solvent for the Type of augment u have, solvent type 1 for a slot 1 augment ect. Now that u have the 2 items find the bird bath looking thing again and click on it. Put the item and the solvent in the container and hit combine. This will return your item. BUT THIS WILL DESTROY THE AUGMENT. So be sure u want to do this. Now with the Adventure Stone, as mentioned above, All u need to do is hail the NPC that hands them out to get a new one - with the same stats as the one before - so u can put it into a new charm. Hope this answers your questions :)

    Re: Adventure stone upgrade????

Call me silly but i guess i dont' understand that list 2 or 3 posts ^^^^^^. It says talk to this person for 2 wins than this person at 15 wins etc. I though we already discussed that you needed to do it at every 10 wins? What is the truth in this? If its right above than i should have points for ever camp because I have atleast 2 wins in every camp. Guess i'm not following Nwin-v-one

    Re: Adventure stone upgrade????

You get a new piece of the story every 2 wins, and new stats on the stone every 10 wins. You can go talk to them every 2 wins if you want to read the story (it is somewhat interesting), but most people just wait until 10 wins and then go hail the npc a bunch of times.
