Tried this on 10 Feb, followed the guide, and when I attempted to charm, I received the message, This NPC cannot be charmed. Is that correct for the failed attempts, or has something been changed? Verocy

What level are you? What level charm were you using? He couldn't be charmed with the level 27 charm... I did this at level 54 with my "main" bard. He worships quellious so I had to charm... He was a little resistant, and it took a few charms but easily done. I also tried it at 52 with my Molto bard. Blew thru 2 mana bars trying to charm the guy, got tons of resists. Thjs one is agnostic so I could get a DE mask and sing faction to get it. Reys / Stretto

I use the SS helmet and whack on the eye. Somehow being slowed makes the chance to proc per swing go up. (some post on steelwarriors) So I go into 3rd person view, equip the helmet and use Requim of Time on myself. (might wanna take some haste-items off as well). Summon eye, click to target (optional to fire Katta) and hit. I have never used more than 3 eyes on a row with a lot of single hits to gate.

Managed to get the hammer after using DE illusion and faction song.. I'm just a little impatient so had to try at 48 :p I'd understand resisting bar after bar of mana, but don't understand receiving the cannot be charmed message /shrug.

I am guessing he was yellow or red to you. Hence... Cannot be charmed.

Okay I did this tonight. I am a bard of Rallos Zek, so I am aprehensive to everyone in the out post. I walked right up to the forman, sang Cidy's Charismatic Cololition, handed him the gem, and bingo I have an OT hammer! Took all of 30 seconds. I'm only level 36 so the hammer won't proc for me yet :(

I don't know if it's been mentioned yet (not going to read through the 3 pages of posts just to find out) but you can use Puppet Strings from PoFear to get hammers. My guild did a fear raid the other day and got some strings, so we took a trip to OOT and took turns charming the skelly and turning in Jades. Works like a Charm! (no pun intended) :D

Im a 55 Agnostic half elf bard. With the DE illusion I was dubious. I wanted to see if charm would work. I OOS'ed him and it took 3 charms. Did the turn in and left. There was a Necromancer there camping him I guess he is on a 6 min timer.

I don't know whats up with all this charming crap, as long as your at least dubious faction, just use your faction raising song and it boosts up to amiable that fast, did this at level 30 and had to do no charming or turning in braids.

actually apparently the game adjusts for whether you're hasted or not so that your proc rate holds consistent at approx. 2 per minute for most weapons. oddly enough

I didn't see the original post. Can someone tell me tha actual name of the hammer? Typing OT Hammer under in allakhazam results in the message no items found.

go to ot outpost docks. give skeletal foreman a jade. he gives you a hammer that procs gate in combat. you must be amiable faction with him. as an agnostic half elf I did it with dark elf mask and faction song easily. got it last week. at 65 with HoS on him only had one resist on charm. i let him beat on me so he was not to far and i could immediatly give him what he wanted /woot this bard can gate:) Firza-=Sings Her gating Song=-
