    Just looking for some info

Im only level 19 so i got one more level till adventure fun, but i just have a couple quick questions about LDoN. First i have been reading about the "point" system and how you acquire points for doing the different missions, but I have yet to see the typical amount of points given. Does anyone know what that would be? Lets say im level 20 and a i complete the adventure about how many points will i get? Same goes for if i was lvl 65 how many points can would i get? Ball park figures would be great. Also you get points even if you fail right? so does that mean you can just sign up for an adventure then run off and swarm kite and still magically get points later? Or do you get points on how close you come to succeding? Also any info on this would be great. last but not least i have seen those augs that turn your armour into an instrument but they seem to have low values, do they add that % onto whatever you are playing at the time, or do they just count as a very sinple instrument? Like if i have TDoK and i have a percussion mod thats like .4 does that mean that if i play my drums while wearing that armour im actually at a 3.2 mod? That would just be nuts if thats how it is. If anyone can shed some light on this for me i would be very greatful

Re: Just looking for some info

Points ar a sliding scale based on the level range of the group. In the 20's you might be getting 3 or 4 points per success. In the 50s you might be getting 15 or so per success. At 65 you might be getting in the area of 30 or so. All of that for "normal" adventures. Hard adventures yield more points but they are...well...hard. When requesting an adventure you select either normal or hard, and normal is the default. To the question of getting points if you fail, signing up, running off to swarm kite and magically getting points later...it don't work that way.The only way to get points from a failure is this... After you fail you have 30 minutes before you are ejected from the dungeon. If you failed to complete the mission in the 90 minutes, but do it in that extra 30 you get roughly half points. The only way to magically get points is to screw people over. To scam them really. If you start an adventure and then leave (leaving your compatriats with a man down, and a harder time succeeding) and they go on without you, and they succeed (or get the lesser award) you WILL get points if you are still online and have not left the adventure. If you did that just once to me, you would be on my never-group-with-this-ass list. Get on very many of those lists and you will have a hard time getting groups. Now I have had folks have honest RL situations..where they LOGGED after leaving us to struggle...this, I didnt like, but didn't hold against them. RL happens. But rest assured, if you leave on some excuse, I will keep tabs (as will others) and if you never logged..your name is mud to that group. Now I am not implying that you, adamio, would do that. Just since I mentioned how, I should give the caveat. Use the knowledge of how to avoid being scammed yourself, but dont do it. I can't speak to the aug/instrument question from personal experience at this time. Reys

Cool thanks, i was just wondering about the points, also i would never be a dick and pull that off, i just didnt know how the points worked. Now that i know it wont happen cuz as most of us know.... Knowing is half the battle... G.I... anyway... If anyone has any info on the augs that would be great. Also 2 points at level 20? I mean what can you even get with that? If i did 550 adventures i could get one piece of that wicked armour though.. hehe yeah like im ever going to do that. Any info on the augs would be great. Also some augs have 2 different upgrades on them right and there are even some with 3 on them? Has anyone gotten any really really good augs?

It does take a bit of time to build up, but I have noticed that I get between a third to half a level of exp. per adventure. Not bad for a couple of hours work. I have also noticed that the amount of points seems to be based on your level and not on the level of the group. Someone on a recent adventure commented that he got the 5 points he needed to get something, while I only got 4 for the same mission.

THere is a thread on augments for instruments, but the answer is that you can put instrument augments on gear, not weapons, and they act as an instrument, so the highest mod is used. They do not stack. I think most are like 1.4 mod, same as many weapons like the Gem Inlaid Sword. I'm so close to my epic that I wouldn't bother unless I eventually got something to make me bank my epic, but I doubt that would happen. Sinfonian
