    Re: glorious oddball groups

Me and five necros finished a 30 collect in 18 minutes the other night (normal adv). It was a massacre. We did three adventures in just under 90mins. Visidia Unity Bard Bitch

In Deepest Guk: Paladin, Bard (me), Wizard, Necromancer, Magician and Enchanter. We blitzed through two adventures with little trouble and no downtime. No cleric buffs except what Paladin could give.

    Re: glorious oddball groups

Hehe, maybe i'm biased, in fact i know i am, but i think I outdo you all. First let me tell you that i had work at 6:00, it's 5:00 when we zone in, so we know we've gotta get done fast. We had 2 warriors, 1 lvl 45 and 1 lvl 39, 2 pallys, 1 38 and 1 lvl 45, 1 lvl 44 mage, and me. Our dps was tons greater than i ever dreamed of. Mobs would drop in a few seconds. We finished our 26 collect in about 25 minutes with a 5 min. med break for the 45 pally who was tossing spot heals. I'm beginning to think that when i'm starting groups i'm not even gonna look for a healer, just a bunch of dps. On another note, traditional groups are not always the greatest i think. We had a very traditional cleric, warrior, chanter, ranger, and druid. No one really died but we moved painfully slow and lost the 50 kill slaughter. A. i singled pulled every time and the warrior would stand right at the door waiting for me like he should have, but then wouldn't do anything else, not even turn around and look at the mob until after i was down to 50%, mob was down to 80% i had a cleric regen on me, forget the name and don't wanna get in trouble, and CH was halfway done being casted. As a result many med breaks were needed. Thinking about it 6 of any class would probably do well. Warriors would have to have some decent gear and not sure how clerics would do it but i'm sure it could be done. Or maybe 5 of any class + a priest. One last thing...Has anyone noticed that augs are just not dropping and the rate of collect items is insanely high? Maybe it's just me and most everyone I talk to. /shrug

Ldon--3 necros/ranger/bard/druid. Crap died so fast I quit pulling and we just rolled. Ranger and I did die on the boss assasination when he flurried at about 30% health. I can understand because the the necros siphoning off health from the mobs to the two tanks (me and ranger) the druid wasn't having to do more than just regen for healing, and the flurry kinda caught us by suprise...this was around lvl 60...if I had just popped deft I would have been there for the kill. Non Ldon? I had three rogues, ranger and me in KC. The darn mobs pingponged so often on the proc's and back stabs (was playing katta) that our heal song was enough to keep the group stable. I'd have added another bard to that group in a sec, it would have been glorious. By the way, a low 50's all bard group has completed LDoN...search the Molto forum on the old EZ boards, I think the account is still there. As long as charm is an option, its doable, I think it would be very difficult for all bards once charm is not a viable tactic.

Group started with Paladin, Mage, 2 Necros, and Warrior. I was playing my mage at the time. We got the adventure, collect normal. Got there zoned in, and the Warrior couldn't enter for some reason. We won. It wasn't easy, but we did it. Totally awsome, if close.

    Re: glorious oddball groups

Oddball groups. Well I have stories about wins I didn't expect. Group was Ranger (w), ranger(b), cleric, cleric, beastlord, me (bard). All in the mid twenties (I was 23, max was 26) I thought this group would rock, dps and healing, me for pulling and cc. First problem leader gets adventure before all at camp or zone, BL in PoK at time. np, he can run in. We all run to Oasis and wait, opps someone falls in door (the quicksand one), ah well we all zone in to start without the BL. No one knows their roles at this time so I claim puller and pull some nearby mobs. We waste them, everything good. Opps, the BL tells us he can't zone in. hmm. OK we lose the BL. Then the ranger (w) starts pulling whole rooms. He keeps running into the room and the whole place aggros on him. I am going made trying to CC as well as keep a haste buff up. The others eventually convice ranger w to stop pulling and to let the bard pull. Fine. Everything is ok but opps now the ranger is following me and aggro'ng rooms again. Hmm. Still no one dies and we do ok. A little later during some of the drama about pulling and adds the ranger b goes LD. hmm I think. We keep going but now have only ranger bard cleric cleric. And the bard is constantly in CC mode since the ranger is always in the way of pulls. A couple of times I just use AE slow, DDD and haste instead of CC just so that something would die. Oh yea I forgot, both rangers had an annoying tendancy to use only archery most of the time. I ended up tanking most of the time as well. Hurt my song twist let me tell you. The dps sucked as well. In the end we did succeed as it was only a 27 collect but I thought we were going to lose. Strange let me tell you. Frustrating as well. One of the clerics D was frustrated as well. Kept sending me tells about how bad the ranger was. -Tenorin

    Re: glorious oddball groups

Two latest odd ball groups: Warrior, shaman, druid, ranger, Bard and me (bard). Other bard is cool and we split the duty - me dotting and slowing him hasting and mana we split the CC duty. I personally dont like dotting and CCing because I will screw it up eventually and dot the mezzed mob - anyway... Im slowing and 3 dotting and end up pulling agro from the warrior. I figure at this point we are in trouble but I back it off to two dots and nivs. DPS was pretty bad and I couldnt chain pull or the shaman & druid would get lom. 75 min later we finish our collect 26. During this I made two friends - well worth wile. Last night: Sk, cleric, ranger, wizard, rogue and me. I figure DPS will be good and we will rock. As an asside - I tell everyone, repeatedly, not to assist off of me because I am probably mezzing an add - the second pull I get two and the ranger assists me and we nearly wipe as the mobs pingpong to the cleric. I get the assist cleared up and then the rogue goes ld never to return. Things move slower but we are looking to succeed when the cleric and I go ld. I have to exit to windows and get back in to find just the wizard and ranger as the sk died and is in pok. We have 2 more to collect and 10 min left so we go for it. Snare wizzy burn dots and sk dots and we take one down. I trigger a nasty poisin trap while kiting the next one and die. Wiz loots the last item and we win with 5 min to spare. Tons of fun even though it was an exp disaster.

    Re: glorious oddball groups

The group I've been grouping my sk with the most lately has been extremely good, but far from odd. Bard, chanty, sk, rogue, warrior, .

    Re: glorious oddball groups

If you think that is an odd group try this. I had a wizzy and a bstl with me and we barly won that adv. to say the least the bstl was Chain healing me since his heal is around 100 dmg
