LDON, Charm Slot and the Adventurer's Stone

Hello: Just went on my 3rd and 4th LDON last night, these were in Miragul's and I had a great time. Group was Paladin, Warrior, Ranger, Cleric, Druid and me. I was in charge of slow/snare, CC and hasting the group, and of course manasong. On to my noob question(s): What do I do with the charm slot? I see that I can purchase charms from the LDON merchants, which I understand only work in LDON. So, do I purchase one of these and then put the adventurer's stone in it? It seems like I am missing something leaving the charm slot empty. OR... am I totally off base and need to read somewhere else on this? Thanks for the assistance. Bedji 50 Bard Ayonae Ro

My adventurers stone is in my intricate wooden figurine, which you can get from the dwarf in PoK. It's nice to see the stats rise as I do more dungeons and get PoP flags.

For the most part people are putting their adventurer stone on their PoP charm as was stated earlier. Between PoP flagging and adventures the stats achieved from that combination are just sick.

Re: LDON, Charm Slot and the Adventurer's Stone

I was about to post a new topic regarding the increase in stats when you attach your adv stone to your figurine in your charm slot. I have a question ... I just found out about gaining stats when you hail an NPC in every LDoN camp. I was just wondering where the stats show up as when I click on my adv stone, its attached to my figurine, I don't see any stats. I was told you gain the stats when you enter an LDoN adv. I'm WAY confused about all this stat talk. Can anyone tell me the right way to Hail an NPC, and if you have to actually say anything to them after hailing them. I've hailed a couple NPC's in diff camps and gotten a big text, but I have yet to see any stats increase on my wooden figurine or any stats on my adv stone. Any info would be great. Also what's all this talk about "stone upgrade"? I have no clue what this means. Maybe its because I'm a newbie when it comes to LDoN. Just got it about 2 weeks ago.

Re: LDON, Charm Slot and the Adventurer's Stone

Your augment gainst HP and Mana for every ten successful missions completed at each theme (zone) and I hear it really gets good when you have 10 at each. You hail the npc that does nothing else (not a merchant etc.) at each camp after every second win, and it will tell you you have gained important or valuable information, if you ony have one of the two needed to talk to him he says you need more adventures or something. The augment upgrading is independent of your charm upgrade, so if you have a PoP figurine, it goes up also with additional flags. Hope that helps, Sinfonian

Thanks for all the advice. I found out the POP idol NPC has a minimum level of 51, so I am on track for that. In addition, since I have done exactly 2 adventures in Mistmoore and Miragul's, I need to go to each camp and find the NPC to hail. Badji 50 Bard Ayonae Ro

Re: LDON, Charm Slot and the Adventurer's Stone

What to put the Adventurer's Stone on: It's up to you. I attached it to my Talisman of the Emerald Warrior because I have only one PoP flag that applies to the figurine. However, many find that attaching it to the Intricate Wooden Figurine is a good, general call. How the Adventurer's Stone upgrades work: -An upgrade to the stone can be gotten after every ten wins within a single dungeon theme (MMC, Tak, DGuk, Mir, Ruj). -To get your upgrade, you must hail the appropriate NPC in the theme's corresponding camp. (This NPC is also the one who asks people the series of questions in order to obtain their Adventurer's Stone in the first place.) For example, Vual Stoutest is the NPC you would hail in the BB camp after ten wins in MMC. -You can hail the NPC after every two wins in order to learn more of the lore about that dungeon theme, but the Adventurer's Stone will only glow and gain power after five of these bits of lore have been revealed to you within the same theme (in other words, you have to get ten wins within a single theme per upgrade). -Eventually the NPC at the camp will tell you to go visit a different NPC (in a different zone and not at a wayfarer's camp) to learn more. Basically, the same rules apply as before. Find this NPC and hail him/her until you're caught up on lore. In the interest of time, you can wait to visit the NPC until you've hit another ten win mark within the theme (for a Stone upgrade). Just remember who it is and what zone he/she is in (if you forget the name, you can hail the original NPC in the theme's camp for a red message containing the new NPC's name). -After you've chatted with this NPC for several rounds of lore-learning, he/she will send you back to the theme's camp to talk with the original NPC some more. This cycle continues to repeat itself as you gain more and more wins (disclaimer: my highest number of wins in any theme is currently 39, so I don't know what happens when your win count in the theme gets REALLY high). Here's the way the stats get upgraded: These stats will not help you unless the Adventurer's Stone is augmented onto your currently equipped charm. Ten wins within a theme = Five bits of lore within that theme = +2 HP and +2 mana After every fifth upgrade of HP and mana, the Stone also gets +1 to all stats and resists. When determining the + to stats, the number of HP and mana upgrades can come from multiple themes So if I have twenty wins in Mir, ten wins in Ruj, twenty wins in Tak, and if I do all of my running around and hailing to activate the upgrades, then I will have an Adventurer's Stone that is +1 to all stats, +1 to all resists, and +10 HP and mana. I hope that helps to clarify. :)

Re: LDON, Charm Slot and the Adventurer's Stone

One other thing to note. If you don't have it on your intricate figurine, but on some random adv point bought charm, you can always use a solvent to take it off when you do get your figurine. Just hail any of the adventurers at the wayfarer camps that give you an adventure stone after you lost yours to the solvent, and hail them. They will automatically give you a new one and based on its power, it will come back with the same stats on it. I used to have mine on an adv bought charm, but now it's on the figurine. I need more PoP flags though hehe. You don't need 10 to each LDoN area btw, you can get it from one place. I have 50 wins in Mistmoore, 20 in Takish, and 10 in Miragul, and my is just like everyone else.

Re: LDON, Charm Slot and the Adventurer's Stone

One more bit of info on Adv Stone upgrades and charm slot items in general. The charm slot is a bit buggy, and quite often after an uprage you'll need to un-equip your charm and put it back on to see the new stats (don't know if the stats take effect before this is done, but I'm certain they don't show) I've verified this myself on the Adventurer's Stone augment and the PoP figurine, and heard people with other charms complaining of the need to re-equip them from time to time.

Re: LDON, Charm Slot and the Adventurer's Stone

I'm a little confused now. I was told that once you get 10 wins in each camp then your stone will upgrade. I have 20 wins in BB. So, if i put my adv stone in my intricate figurine I will see a stat boost on the stone? I also do not have any flags on my figurine, so will i not see any stats on the stone b/c of this? Thanks for the help.
