Hi all, Just a quickie really. Sometimes i group with my guild (who are of a much higher lvl than me). Generally there will be 3 or 4 of us, normally around 3-4 of us. The group consists of normally: 1 x 59 Druid 1 x 60 Necro 1 x 60 Monk 1 x 47 Bard (Me). *Sometimes they will replace the monk or the Necro with a 57 Pally* Now they invite me into their groups generally to help me feel as though i'm actually in a guild *grin*. And when they are going on loot raids.... but only the easy stuff. And whilst its easy (and pretty safe exp), i still want to help out. At lvl 47 apart from mana and health, what sort of songs should i use? For example, we were in Solb tonight, and there was only 3 of us. 1 Druid, 1 monk and me. The Monk was pulling and the Druid healing, and we would only take 1 mob at a time. If is was an elemental, i'd use that spell which dispells first then switch to: Amp, Verses of Celerity, then the Frost and Fulfils Dots. Then repeat cycle, normally leaving Amp out of the 2nd cycle and replay it on the third, fifth..etc..etc. The Dots were landing find. And the Druid was buffing us to the max. Once the mob was trying to run (Druid snared), i'd play mana song, till the next mob was pulled. Sometimes if the Monk brought 2 mobs, i'd mezz the add, then do as above. The Monk said not to bother playing any Haste songs. Was the the above twist ok? Or should i of played something else? (I'll post this on the old message boards, just in case) Thanks for your help in advance.

Our DoTs are good especially if you have a good drum. You may want to consider damage shield(s) for your monk as the mob has not been slowed down. Hit him with your SS Bracer (if you have one) for a 9 point DS and add in your 2 others - should add up nicely and speed up the battle significantly. Bardspeed, -->Audi-->

At 47, in battle I'd twist Nivs (47), McV's Berserker (42) and then a DS. If you want to try, I'd also work on twisting in Amp (30) as it lasts more than 3 ticks so you can get in a 4 twist. That will increase your DS nicely. If you are meleeing, you may consider getting a Troubador's mace to help on McV's, if not you could stand back and hold either your lute for Nivs or your brass for McV's. If you are twisting 4 songs, you may find it too tough to swap our instruments in between those two songs. It would be worth the effort and make you a VERY valuable group member. Hope that helps. Remember, each group at each level requires a bard to come up with the BEST twist. I try to involve the group by asking questions and then providing my "playlist" so they know how I'm helping the group. I was going to save up for a troubador's mace, but I went to PoD and I got hooked. I couldnt leave to go make money! I was getting crazy exp like no other. My gosh it was amazing. So I think I cam going to for the next couple of days just make money. In two days I should have about 5 to 6 k on me. Than I buy a Mace for myself. It is really worth the purchase I heard from people.

I think I got lucky... picked Troubadour's Mace from bazaar for 2k on Cazic-Thule server. :D

OMG The lowest price I have seen on Erollisi Marr server is 5k! What a rip off that guy put on himself for selling it for that much! You are lucky. Now I am going to save up for my earing of the solstise Peices and do the quest before I Get my mace... I need the mana so much for swarming. I need boots of flowing slime also for the FT 3! Ear peice only has FT1. Better than nothing though!

Boots of Flowing Slime on my server are about 25-30K, so yes they would be awesome to have, but I'm not going to to have them any time soon. I will say that with FT1 (Solstice) I was able to easily keep up with a 2 hour non-stop swarm kite of Toilers in ME. Never dropped below 75m. FT rocks. If I haven't been struggling with my druid for the Prayer Shawl quest, then I'd do it with Sinfonian. Tradeskills are sooo tedious, kinda like a 2 hour swarm kite where you are a sliver from death once. Hehe. Sinfonian

The twist sounded pretty fair, it is just that the monk epic is whistling warsong, and after that he was probably pretty much at his haste cap anyway (if he is like most monks I know). You could have tried Nivs, or a DS or heck if you are in a group with a lot of people play around with songs and find out what you like to play. at level 51 you get a overhaste spell ... he will love that. Good work on the crowd controll too :)

Someone beat me to it. With the monk saying not to do a haste song he probably has his/her epic which gives the haste for him. You might consider going all chants for pure DPS during the fight. Niv's, DS, and a chant would also be good. If you are in Sol B regularly, Psalm of Cooling will give a very nice resist bonus and DS in one song. You might consider using a lute and doing the 34 heal/mana, niv's, and something else. The power of bards are in their flexibility. Experiment and find out which combination of songs seems to help the most.
