    Re: Picklock worth it yet?!

Phugg, if there we over 100% lockpick mods available to bards, then we would totaly remove a key ability for rogues. Rogues would justifiably be upset that we reduced thier desirability even in a small way. In addition, this would mean that that 100% mod item would become a MUST HAVE for all bards, meaning that it would probably be dropped somewhere that was: A) Incredibly difficult to reach (Time) B) Somewhere that no one besides Bard wants to camp or do the event (a 5 hour event in Elemental planes) C) Somewhere incredibly easy to camp so that every fricking twink and bazar merchant has one (BoT) I dont think Sony is going to TDoK us anymore, and I dont think Sony is going to replace Rogues.

I have yet to find one I could disarm or pick in 70+ adventures. All have been magical. I do not even bother with ldon chests anymore. 9 out of 10 times the trap goes off anyways. then 1/2 the time it seems to be plague mites (oh joy, I get to sing mana song for 40 min after the adventure and beg peeps for heals). The risk/reward for chests, and other obsticles in ldon are NOT worth the trouble. If you want some spice in the boring routine of clearing dungeon after dungeon you can always open them on the way. Then see how many DoTs you can get on you... Then you can see if you can finish the adventure in 30min and have the cleric not go OOM, hehe.

Odd, we almost always get them open, but what I find is that they have junk loot in them... Like a cats eye agate or a one-time use potion (don't care what it does, pass). If the chest is right by the exit, ok, but if it's deep in a 65 dungeon, make it something halfway decent, like a named drop or something. Or else, just take them out, you could have chosen another mission in the time it takes to backtrack and figure out chests. Sinfonian

rarely any trouble with chests. maxed all 3 skills. bigger problem is finding the casters/priests with the spells. remember that reagent conservation works on the scry stones. when you fail 3 times in a row it can be pricey. and does anyone know if magical spells are bugged? out of 3 weeks straight of adventurings, maybe twice has the int casters (magical not cursed) been able to open a chest. rogues couldn't open, cleric couldn't cast on it, etc.

Everywhere I look it says bards get this at lvl 40. I'm lvl 24 and my skill is at 86 (Befallen). I think I've had this skill since I started or near there. Mahem n`Melodies.
