    Effect of Dodge-increase

Anyone got any experiences how noticeable a dodge-increase is? LdoN offers +5%-dodge and +8%-dodge augments. I think the 8% one is rather expensive compared to the 5% one (150 vs 760 pts), but if +5% dodge (+8-9 points in dodge) may do any good it might be a worthwile investment.. But I have not the slighest idea how a few points more dodge-skill may effect damage avoidance. Any experiences here?

Steppy replied to a similar question of mine in the LDoN forum. It looks like it may be useful, even at 5%, although you would probably have to parse a lot of data to be certain of the size of the effect.

    Re: Effect of Dodge-increase

I look at it this way: Every time the mob hits me, the RNG rolls against my Dodge skill (with whatever formula they use). If I succeed that dice roll, I Dodge, which just saved me anywhere from 1-900hp (talking exp mobs). So while a +8% to Dodge in and of itself may not be very spectacular... It still narrows the "failure" range in that RNG roll. And so I know I'll succeed more Dodge rolls with the augment. I plan to stick the +8% on my Mir legs, soon as I can get enough wins there to buy 'em! (Nobody I group with frequently likes that camp, LOL).

I love pulling Miragul and almost never have a problem getting people to go there. The flowing thought augments, 1150 pt weapons and Necklace of Dementia seem to attract enough players.

yeah Miragul is by no means as popular as BB on my server, but it's no real problem to find groups for there. But I guess I will stick with the +5% one. The price diufference between 5% and 8% just seems not worth it. And I still have so many things to purchase in LDoN...so many ;-)
