New AA - allow songs to effect pets

Anyone hear any new news on this. Will we be able to toggle this AA on and off? Does it effect charmed pets? Will it hert more than help? Is it worth 20 aa's? What is your opinion?

From what I've heard, it's gone from bards, but pet classes can buy it so group spells hit their pets. Folks on test can elaborate/correct me. Sinfonian

That would make a lot more sense than having a bard pay 20 AAs just for the privilege of buffing the other pet casters around you. Even the mage in my regular xp group thought that was a ridiculous price for a bard to have to pay. On the other hand, for the mage to may 20 AAs so that group buffs hit the pet -- that seemed to be more reasonable.

I would prefer it if a bard could purchase this AA. A bard with the ability to haste, DS and regen pets would be a huge addition to many groups. I know 20 points is a ton, but it sounds like it would be worth it to me. I know I would start saving for it right away.

I have to agree that it makes more sense to make the owner of the pet pay the points. However. In the case of every other buffing class, they could already buff a pet if they so desired (single-target buffs). Bards CAN NOT. For this reason, I would have loved to see us with the ability to buy the AA ourselves (at a much reduced price - 20 AA is waaaay too much) so that I know my songs are living up to their full potential, even in pickup groups.

I know I would get this AA if it were say 10 or 12 AA points....because I always have a pet class in my groups, whether it's a mage or shammy or whatever. But 20 aa's is way to much to expect us to deal out for something that truely doesn't affect us but rather affects the group. But hey what do I know sony will do what it wants with or without our feedback.

According to casterrealms, this AA won't be given to us bards :(. http://eq.crgaming.com/viewarticle.asp?Article=5309

Caster's Realm is about as reliable as a rumor repeated 6 times and translated into 4 languages. They are notorious for getting information wrong. Screenshots from the beta very definitely showed Aria of Companionship on the list of AA abilities. The fact that CR doesn't list it certainly should be taken with a grain of salt.
