    trail of execution

did it today with bard, monk, monk, rogue, warrior, cleric. i stood by stage and mezed the lizards (rock guys cant be mezed). after the first lizard was killed in the cycle i tried to get a few seconds of melee in while keeping 2-3 mezed. then went to mezing/twisting bard stackable hastes on top of chanter buffs while meleeing the last 2 full time. i used puretone after the first two waves, in case we had to zone out early i didnt use right away (long reclick we all know). our cleric had a horse which was insanly huge help because it is a no aggro med and cast and can med while casting, its almost impossible without the cleric having a horse actually. when we fought the final guy i already had him targeted and cast occlusion of sound followed by assonance. slow stuck and then i went full melee/hastes. i re-slowed once i think but we defeated him without a hitch. was super fun, one of my most fun experiences ever. the lesson here, bard>chanter again.

    Re: trail of execution

Gratz on the kill, I heard a bard from legends took down the trial solo. Is there any truth to this do you think? If so my druid friend and I were thinking of doing this. 8) Let me know. =)

    Re: trail of execution

Possibly depends on which trial. Trial of Execution would likely be impossible solo because your DPS would be insufficient to kill anything at all before the executioner reaches the victim, but other trials may not be on such a time limit (I have only done Execution for a couple failures, and Lashing once - first trial I ever did - where we had no clue a bunch of things were about to spawn on our heads).

    Re: trail of execution

thought about this for a while and decided that MAYBE a bard could charm one, have the other mobs kill it and repeat. then if the bard was 64+ he could snare and kite the final guy. so i guess its possible, might even try it myself :P

    Re: trail of execution

I'm scared mommy!!! I wanted to try it with myself 54 bard 56 druid and 61 druid. We heard a 64 stormhammer bard did it solo, so yeah, as long as you get everything dead in that amount of time. It's all good. does everything nice drop off of the boss of it, or the random mobs in there you have to kill? And how much time IS there exactly?

    Re: trail of execution

the problem is the damage per second, it has to be absolutly ridiculous. you cant really just through any group together and try it, most casters run out of mana half way through, most hybrids dont do much damage, most healers dont have horses so you have mobs running around chasing them...its just a big pain in the ars. found an awesome alternative to bard mezzing though...the level 62 area effect slow is so amazing, the mobs seriously act like they are slowed by 99% they just sit there are hit once every minute...so i dont even mez anymore when helping friends i just keep all the mobs close together and ae slow them. some resists so might wanna through AE MR debuff in there also.

    Re: trail of execution

for you bard having trouble getting through this, try an AE group. my real life sister plays a chanter and we were having trouble getting her through in a trditional group. i grabbed two wizards, a cleric, and a warrior and we set out to AE it. we positioned in the middle of the room and the warrior grabbed something and i assisted while my sister began the chanter stun trio (i forget what the stuns are called /shrug) and runed between EACH round. I was playing denons debreavment, melody of mischief, call of flame (which doesnt work on point plank AE..ghey!), and chorus of mar while i assisted the warrior. this worked so well it was almost funny, we killed the waves in like 5-10 seconds which seemed to give us like a whole minute to med in between. the part that was kinda tricky was the boss, since the wizards were pretty much out of mana. at this point your chanter will probably tash and slow, and die. my sister had a real hard time not getting aggro from the boss...she even tashed, boggled, slowed, boggled blah blah blah and still got summoned and slaughtered. in the end we rezed her in after the kill and she got her mark of execution. if i were to do it all again i would say have the chanter chain rune the main tank to save some mana for the healer and give the wizards time to med for a good blast. if your chanters too cheap to buy components let them die and just slow the stupid guy yourself :P. p.s. rampage is a real pain in the butt with the boss, most likley the bard or chanter will be on rampage. guess who wins? YOU. I had my rune already when i did this so i told the cleric to let me eat the rampage and to not waste mana healing me, id get a rez after. luckily i didnt die, had about 200 hp at the end.

    Re: trail of execution

I have done like 70+ failed trials... heh it's not so bad, I got tons of loot from it. Mainly failed because I was bored and had a pick up group.

    Re: trail of execution

Did it again yesterday to help a few friends get flagged. We had a wiz, bard(me), cleric, mage, druid and a war. No matter what rocks are first. They will slow you which sucks. If you get lucky enough to get either a mage or druid in your group make sure they have a few banishment stones for the rocks. By banishing them it resets the timer on the mobs. As the Bard I would charm one of the fiends(beasts) and send it in assiting the main tank. I sang chorus of replenishment, Rondo, katta(helps me with sss proc) and Anstilich's Assonance. I didn't worry about mezz. Remember to break charm before the last mob dies. Here is a link to some nice tips for the trial of execution. Re: trail of execution

The Trial of Execution is in Plane of Justice. When you complete it your flagged for the Planes of Valor and Storms. I have only tried it once and failed due to the cleric bitting the big one.

    Re: trail of execution

Execution Trial is the easiest one to pass. It is just a DPS thing really. You have to be able to kill a mob within 30 secs. If not the executioner kills the prisoner. If you kill the mob then executioner resets (warps back to begining of his path) and begins to start walking for the prisoner again. 4 Waves of 4 mobs. Boss at end.
