    Re: FM tricks...

Fading works well for pulling. Lets say you are in BoT, Kael, or maybe Sebelis and there is a mob up that you want to pull all alone. Pacify is nice, but some mobs cant be pacified. Or maybe paci gets an aggro resist. BAM! 2 yellow and one red Mob inc to your group. Without fading memories, you have 2 choices. Die in place and /cosent a group member bring em all to group and hope like hell you can CC your mess. With fading memories however, your options increase a lot. Fade and try to paci again. Mezz the 2 adds, bring the third to camp, then fade. The mezzed mobs have no aggro anymore, they wander back to camp. Use the gate song and send the adds back home, then fade, bringing the mob you want all alone. Fade and try to split the pull monk style. Fading also works well for Rampaging mobs. Bards tend to creep up the aggro list slowly but persistantly. Whenever I am raiding or fighting a rampaging mob, I usually get aggro once or twice. Before fade, it was back away from the mob, break out song of dawn, pulse that sucker 5 or 6 times, then wade back in. With fade its just FADE, no break, I go to the bottom of the aggro pile again. Lets me twist what I need to twist nonstop and still melee. Fade also helps a lot to get you into or out of tough to reach places. Went LD deep in SSRA somewhere and couldnt get back on till your raid moved? Fading can help you get out alive if you dont have any way to gate. Fade also has it uses in areas where spawns are contested. Some monk just pull your mid south named to Deep south? Run through the whole south, taking all the giants behind you. when you get near that monk's group, fade and walk away, /emote a laugh while his party dies. Ok, all except that last one are GOOD uses for fade ;o)

In hard LDON missions, mez lands much more reliably than lull does. So, a very simple way to split multiple mobs is the mez-fade. Let's say there is a room with three mobs all in agro range of each other. Mez one, bring the other two out to your group, fade to lose agro on the mezzed mob, then mez one of the two you pulled. The room is split nicely.

One trick I've learned is to deliberately get yourself summoned somewhere. Say for some odd reason you wanna get summoned up to the plateau in PoN. Step one: Charm a banshee (they summon) Step two: Target a nightmare on the plateau (or be stupid like me and target vakhsiz ) and tell your pet to attack. Step three: wait for your pet to take some damage and then break charm. Once you get summoned then run away a bit and use your fading memories. BINGO you are all alone on the plateau in PoN, and didn't have to run through the tunnels! Now what you are gonna do once you are up there is anyones guess, but at least you did it.

If you have much Flowing Thought =) Fading Memo is a way to Invis :P Also its nice if you want to go afk somewhere where invis is nice - and are too lazy to mem invis song :P Pulling with Fading : 2 Mobs who cant be lulled ? Mezz one pull second and Fade. 2 Mobs agroed but arent mezzable ? Song of the Highsun is your friend =) then Fade Lull resist ? Fade - HINT : If you got a lull resist but got some place to run - Lull again before Fade till its lulled - then fade and attack second - tada no lull needed then, as lull before Fade is still working. Sometimes you got mobs which cant be lulled mezzed etc. but like to Run faster than the adds =) For example : Rumblecrush in Umbral Planes =) Agro em, run run run till RC is near but his friends are far - Fade - agro RC again =) There you got him solo. Want to camp something deep in a dungeon ? For example : Neriad Shawl in Sirens Grotto : SoW is very useful too, but sirens in this situation is awesome, because fishes wont follow you on landside. Anyway : Move in - Divine Aura Song - Run Run Run - Fade at spot =) ------------- Fading Memories Really Saves Lifes. In a huge swarm kite but no zone close to you ? Fade =) Rampage ? Fade Main Agro o_O ? Fade Agroed wrong mob ? Fade etc. All i can say : This is the BEST AA bards get. I cant imagine any other which should be better =)

    Re: FM tricks...

I love using it as Perma invis. I hit selos and then Fade. Then I can run at full speed invis.

    Re: FM tricks...

You cannot selos while invis... however I have noticed that you can move between tics. Meaning you Fade... and you do not become visable until the next tic, after you start moving. Meaning you can FM with a mob in your face count the tics (hp regen or whatever) and run out of argo range before you loose your invis.

    Re: FM tricks...

Sorry to disagre with you Santel, but you can start up Selo's and leave it running then Fade. This leaves you invisible and Selo'd. Ive done in many times :)

    Re: FM tricks...

You have to hit Selos first and then have it take effect then hit Fade. Unless something has changed then you should still be able to run around perma invised to non invis seeing mobs. The moment you start up a different song you will break your invis.

    Re: FM tricks...

It works more reliablely if you hit your sneak before moving too. Sneakin at selo's speed is just wrong :p
