How is it better? SoE now has 2 ways to control which spells get dropped. They control the rate of new spells/songs on mobs and then which ones enter the game at a single point. How is getting 6 copies of some DD song better than it was in luclin? Better for them maybe just one huge time sink for us. Ever wonder why spells and songs were so hard to get in the first place? So do I, never have heard a GOOD reason just some spin from absor about vision and crap. Its all about time sink folks accept it cause thats the way they think a game should work. Remember when they promised no more grind and time sinks for pop? Now tell me whats happened. Huge PITA trials that are playing hell on many guilds trying to get people though them. And now you wanna play you best have a guild and a good one at that otherwise too bad. No not better just same old stuff. Grind grind grind

Did my first turn in today...got 62 Winds of Marr (thanks to Veder for showin me which NPC for turn-in) Holyrood 59th Troubador

Arhurin, it's better because at least you get something your class can use, not a load of spells that are used by other classes. So your chances of getting the song you want are better with this system than they were in Velious/Luclin where the mob could drop any classes spell/song. BTW, judging by the tone of your post you're getting extremely frustrated with EQ.. maybe time for a break?

Well I got the following so far... 1x 63 Psalm of Veeshan 1x 62 Dreams of Thule 3x 62 Druzzil's Disillusionment 2x 62 Melody of Mischief 1x 62 Wind of Marr 1x 61 Silent Song of Quellious I got the Pslam of Veeshan early on. I haven't received any tier 2 or 3 songs since then. I got Wind of Marr last night. That was a pleasent supprise.

I got another Melody of Mischief last night. So IMO the 2 most common ones for me are... 1...Druzzil's Disillusionment 2...Melody of Mischif I still need my Chant of Plague and Warsong of Zek.

I got another "Melody of Mischif" and a "Dreams of Thule". I am starting to think I should just Vendor sell the Melody of Mischif. I see tons of copies being sold and for as low as 100p. heh

Today in PoN at RCY grp I was in for 3 hours no parchments dropped. Then in 15 mins 3 did. Bam bam bam. And melee got one of them, warrior - I wasnt upset as he was in a pickup grp, good for him go get a cleric spelll and sell it for 15k or whatever, I swear if you dont look out for yourself no one else will. Aside from that druid and cleric got the other two, part that did bum me out was cleric came as rep. he joined as she left. It died and parchment (the first of the three whammies) dropped. I've done over 15 of these darn parchment turn ins... I just can't seem to get my Warsong of Zek. I finally bought my Chant of Plaque (%t's skin turn black... $$) for 1250pp which isn't bad. All the duplication Druzzles and Mischiefs I have been trying to sell for 100pp but there are just sooo many selling atm that no one buys them. I will prob. end up vedor selling them.

The ones i have turned in is two chants of plague, one I traded for a 62 song, and I have the nullify song as well, I'm getting warsong from a guildy, etc, so so far not truly any duplicates I have on me. Guess I've just been lucky. I might have to buy the 1 lull or soemthing. I would really like wind of marr ^.^

Wind of marr is great... I get 53pt regen at lvl 62 with my Draconic lute(2.4mod) and IM1. The mana regen you get from that is 20pts.... heh lvl 65 chanter mana buff only does 18. $$

Just was hunting in PoD... What do the parchments drop off of? I heard the spiders, but I am not sure. Could I solo spiders at 51? What level could I do the castle?

Don't play with spiders, Misquitos, puslings or anyrhing near the castle. Fair game are the fly's, rats, goos. Pretty much anything else will get you killed. Most things that drop parchments in PoD are Named critters. There is a named fly at each island. Those you can solo easy.

What level is the castle though? Just want to know when I might be able to go there. And on the Penninsula that I pull my flys from, there is a named on? Is it on the little island by the penninsula where the verti flys are?

The named flyes are on the islands behind the penninsula. The Virtri singles on each island are the PH and the last island is the middle vitri on the rocks. The castle is left of the zone in... past all the casting spiders and through the giant bone ribcage. It's pretty much just a grouping area with higher level mobs. Mobs such as the underbulks, lightcrawlers, and the mobs in the castles as well. It's almost always camped.
