I know exactly what you mean... everything is so inflated now, from ornate armor to weapons to everything. I got my gold tipped boar horn for 1200pp (which was still a good deal then, 4kish at that time normally) and now they go for 7-9k.

    Re: Bazaar prices

You can thank the plat duping Gans, macro users, and Yantis type folks for the devaluation of pp in game. When you can go to a banker and double your plat with with one mouse click, then you know there is something wrong. SOE didnt react quick enough, and the server economies are still feeling the effects. When you can buy platinum with real cash, then things in game are going to become more expensive, since now this game is putting money in some player's pockets. When you can buy a couple well flagged 65 toons and farm choice camps with them, then put the ornate or other drops on a bazaar mule and turn the pp profits into REAL CASH, then the prices are gonna go up. In short, you can thank the folks who take this game WAY to seriously. Cause the economy will only bear the prices that the consumers are willing to pay. I am not willing to pay that much for that stuff. Thus I wont pay 50k for a Lute of the Howler. I wont pay 500pp for a song when I know I can take 15 minutes and get it myself.

    Re: Bazaar prices

funny on xegony Boar horns have gone from 4-5k before the exploits to under 2k now. Ldon items are dropping thru the floor and pop items are up, mainly due to the lack of farming. Some prices are stupid but just dont pay em. Pre inflation i picked up 3 ornate drops in 4 days, sold 1 to pay for the other 2's components and for largescale upgrades elsewhere. Those 3 drops would have got me 120k at the time and would get me probably 150 now, but theyre far less common atm (tables in bot is even empty at times). The exploits gave short term hyper inflation but wont have a longterm increase. The stupid increases are more due to the increased rarity and lack of farming those items. I would go camp a LoTH except i get lost in velks far too easily, and as a paladin main i cant solo for toffee

    Re: Bazaar prices

Hopefully with the the casino coming back in, there will now be an outlet to return some plat to the game. that is assuming of course that the win percentages arent so high that the gambler will come out on top normally, and not so low that its not worth playing. Soon as all the duped plat is out of the system, prices SHOULD return back to normal.

    Re: Bazaar prices

I think that's the goal of the casino and the tribute system. I just worry that while it gets the extra plat out of circulation, that it'll have other unforseen effects on prices. I just wonder sometimes if people will stop selling their low-value bazaar items and donate them instead. This could take alot of the low-end items away for the new players, leaving only high-end expensive stuff. This could go one of two ways I think: either the prices will climb due to increased rarity of some mid/low-level items and drop the price of the high-end stuff. Or maybe the low-end stuff will get cheaper and the high-end stuff will just climb higher and higher as people lust for more and more money. Maybe I'm worrying unnecessarily, but I don't think its entirely far-fetched... Myrmion 65 Bard, Xegony
