    proc aa

anyone know how much the proc aa improves weapon procing namely due to a recent GU comic. I figure with some of the ldon proc augs and weapons with a proc on them already so you could have two proc weapons and the 2 proc augments for 4 progs total plus the proc AA you can create some serious dmg

    Re: proc aa

I don't know stats for weapon procs increases but there was guild chat last night where someone put the points in mid-raid and commented how they were proccing like a maniac afterwards... (this was a pally, not a bard). So in laymans terms I would say its pretty good heh. No figures or percentages to back it up tho.

    Re: proc aa

so it seems to be a pretty dramatic increase in procs huh .the 4 proc idea might prove useful if I ever had the points just managing the agro might be a pain

    Re: proc aa

I put in a point into this and hardly could tell the difference. Though I imagine like many other AAs after you put in 3+ points things become a bit more noticable.

    Re: proc aa

I echo Santel -- I bought one level of this and haven't really noticed an increase.

    Re: proc aa

Parses on Steel Warriors show that WA5 increases proc rates by approximately 30-50%. This means a generic weapon which procs twice per minute will proc as much as 3.5 times per minute. Re: proc aa

Since the cost of each level scales up, that's a LOT of AAs to less-than-double your proc rate. 30 AAs to get a one-third increase? Hmm I want a refund of level 1.

    Re: proc aa

Interestingly enough, though, as far as my ranger is concerned, WA5 is the best cost versus reward of the GoD AAs.

    Re: proc aa

Ah, come on. A 50% increase in proc rate is a HUGE difference in DPS, especially for us bards, being as we dont' do all that well with our hit/miss ratio. A proc goes off regardless of whether you hit, therefore, we get a bigger relative increase to our dps. For instance, I use the ice thing from Everfrost (procs 320 dd ice) and copper hammer (procs 179 dd). My procs are typically a good portion of my damage, so, if I can get 50% more procs on thojse weapons, it will make a huge difference.... The only problem of course is that it takes away my caster bard... but, a very minor issue at best. Wyndaria, Maestro, Nameless.

    Re: proc aa

Hehe, when I can afford to buy a BoC (78k so far, lol), I will absolutely be devoting AA to this proc, so I don't need to beg for tanks to do normal LDoNs with me anymore. Getting BoC for primary and the Veksar Agro weapon (Hooked somethingorother), both augmented with Lifeleech or stun/DD augments would be lovely - especially if they proced more reliably.

    Re: proc aa

Some decent data is posted here. I would be interested in seeing the percent increase in procs you get with each level of WA. I have WA3 and it "seems" to really make me proc more often. However, this is just a subjective opinion without any hard numbers or testing. Does anyone have some data about what percent improvement in procs you will see with each level of WA? Re: proc aa

That helps a lot -- excellent information and very useful! Having WA1 I wasn't seeing noticeable improvement but it is clear that the way it scales you do need a few levels to really feel it.
