I just recently gained access to tier 2 planes and I must say some of the experience for chanting is sickening. Currently duoing with a mage and chantkiting a mob while letting his pet backstab when its chasing me. So we were wondering, what mobs can we kill by ourselves that can drop parchments? I looked through the posts and didnt find anything. Thanks in advance. Baelwyn Laureatus. 62 bard. Mith Marr.

PoV is a great place for a bard to solo, especially when u get Quellious you can single pull all day. Any of the Vessal forts is good, the desert area, and there's A captured Razorfiend that gives great exp and drops a parch sometimes. Just takes some time and patience here if u don't have the equipment to perform the max damage with our songs. Drums of the Beast will be your best friend here chant kiting, and a good horn to switch out for the lvl 60 dot. Any mob in the zone can drop Parchments I myself have gotten most from the vessals and golems doing the solo thing, and the most exp from the captured. Paolin Polyphonic 65 Maestro

Who do you turn the parchments into?

As you run into the library head to the right side and go down the stairs. Take a sharp left U turn one you get down that flight of stairs. It is a male bard in looks like silver platemail.

Are the parchments no drop? Can every calss turn them in for something?

All the parchments are no drop and yes anyone with a spellbook will something back from a turn in. Warriors rogues and monks generally turn them into the cleric/enchanter turnins to try and get a nice expensive spell to sell. Not a bad idea for everyone else to waste a few parchments on.

Heh, Next time I'm on I am going to pull from the island with virtis on it... Maybe I can get the named fly to pop :p Get a parchment or what ever 8) Thanks for all of you help Anulien and Pearos

Sure no problem. The best part about starting out with the parchments is you don't have most of the spells so you can't get repeates yet :p

Hope the named fly isnt hard, cuz If I'm there all day on the weekend I might get him to spawn a few times. I might even do the Grimor quest while I am there. ;)

I usually get a few pops within around a clearing of a few islands. By about 2 or 3 clerings of them I get at least 1 named.

The named flys dont always drop the parchments do they? And I though that there was only the one island by the penninsula? Are there more?

There are 4 islands... each has a different named Fly. The parchments are not a gaurenteed thing.

WOOT! Got a parchment tonight. I got the song Tuyans Chant of Plague. Tobad I have quite aways to go till I can use it. Its a nice song.

Just curious.. while soloing in POV.. how long does it take to chant kite the mobs mentioned in this post? I know while soloing in POD killing rats or worms.. I'll be running around for a good 7 or 8 minutes with Dotb at level 60 per mob. Exp is good but my hands get tired going that long (long meaning.. gotta kill all the adds too).
