    39 BARD

Alright I've been in HK soloing, but the expereince sort of slowed down. I went to DL, but it's not much better. Any other suggestions besiders those and DSP? Thanks.

Oh yes! Ulthorks in EW! I made 1 yellow bub per sow potion swarmkiting these babys (from lvl 39 to 40). You can start before 39 and stay longer if you wish. You dont need sow potions... I was just lazy :) ///Saang Fogel, lvl 53 bard on Therris Thule

I would have to agree, Ulthorks in EW were the best solo exp i had gained. I prefer to chant kite, but i saw a few bardic types charm kiting up there. Hope that helps =P Belarinil Bojangles Bard of the 46th Song Member of the Lords of Valor

43 bard here i have been chant kiteing the frost giants in GD, Getting just under half a bule per kill, and if i pull beserkers i get almost a full blue. 8) pull to the tree near the EW zone line and run around there no adds if you keep your loot small

I have gone from 39 to 43 in ummm ( a yellow every 45 min ) Great Divide also, but have been killing the Kodiacs. I compared them to the Frost Giants, and they have WAY fewer HP's than the Giants do. I have been Chant and Swarm Kiting them. they have so few HP's I can completely Kill one with a pet, and then have to Invisi to break the charm to kill the pet. Very Very good exp from what I have seen. Thegeneral ( with no sir-name ) Bard of the 43rd Degree Terris-Thule

    Re: 39 BARD

I know it's been said, but here was my experience: At 39 I was chant kiting (started two levels or so earlier) in DSP, but the exp slowed and I got bored. Couldn't figure out swarm kiting there due to the Luclkin lag, so I went to Ulthorks in EW. There I quickly learned to swarm kite as you have to make a mistake to take any damage with Selos. I must say that I've never gone back to straight chant kiting if I could help it. I went from 40 to 42 in EW perfecting my swarm kiting ability took a day or two and got 9 tusks out of the deal which landed me a diamond and a ruby from the otters). Spent a day or so trying to raise faction with CoV before baging it and heading to Timorous Deep and swarming Spirocs. I just left there after 3 days of taking as many birds as I could get to agro me (sharing the camp like a good bard by letting anyone that asked pull from my pile) at level 47. I plan on starting my epic now, then heading to Wyverns in CS if my faction is dubious. If it's not it's a run to Kael for some faction if I can get a guildie group together. In all, aside from 45, which I still believe to be a heck level, the exp flew by, and pulling from the top got a lot easier at 46 when my Singing Steel boots proc'd so I didn't need to twist selos and lev while traversing the narrow ramps being chased by a handful of birds. In hindsight, with your 39th level charm song (needed for all birds but the lightfoots, and lasting much longer so it's worth using anyway despite the mana drain), I would suggest heading directly to Spirocs at 39 and watch the levels tick away like seconds on a clock. Swarm kiting, harder than druid quad kiting (I know - 54 druid) but so much more rewarding! Only regret is that my weapon skills are stuck at 190-195 as I only group for guild raids nowadays. Some day I'll sacrifice exp and fear kite something near my level for a day to hopefully raise them up. Hope this helps. I have tried paladins, shaman, necros, warriors, monks, druids and now bards, and hands down, bards are more enjoyable, more diverse and more of a challenge than any other class I know. Re: 39 BARD

Swarm kiting involves using your 39 charm song, selos and your two dots at the time, Fufil's and Chant of Flame. In short (there are extensive swarm kiting posts and guides here) you proximity aggro (don't hit them) 4+++ mobs, charm one, have it attack the others, break with invis at 20% health or so, and run around being chased by the pack chant kiting the former pet til dead. Pick a new pet, have it attack the same mob you had your old pet attack and repeat. Hopefully the last mob is down to below 50% so the final chant kite isn't too tedious. If he's too healthy, I just grab another and keep going until it's a quick final kill. Hope this helps. There are better, more extensive posts, but those are the basics. Sinfonian
