If you have been working on the armor quests (tier one) and trying to improve faction there is a way to use the faction song. If you tried to sing the faction song on Vorkiev then you found out he is unaffected but you can go over to Alkron Wyrmsong (p1870,p660) and sing it on him. He is also on Dranik's Loyalists faction so it raises your faction with all npc's on that faction. I went from "Warmly" to "ally" with the song. Too bad I didn't figure this out till after I worked my way up to "warmly". /sigh.

What does your faction have to be at to do the quests?

Warmly I believe is minimum. I was at Kindly, and he wouldn't give me the quest text until I raised my faction with song on the mob mentioned above & ran back. Nice tip btw, got me my gloves & helm a few days early. Thanks for sharing. :)

pimp, been grinding faction for last 3 days....was also stuck at kindly and was just to shy to get him to speak to me, hit wyrmsong with CCC and boom, right up to warmly. i love my new boots/bracer excellent tip...thx

I tried it when I first became amiable and it didnt take me to warmly. Amiable is a big range I've been told so I went and got more faction and tried it again. It worked. CCC took me from high amiable to warmly. BTW I used an instrument when I sang CCC. Awesome tip, thanks. Dumaine

possible to use those shitty /rewards u get to boost faction? like it says "increase faction modifier" do those things work?

actually ya need "ally" anyway Natureboy (if ya wanna do Tier 2 quest) so warmly is not in vain... :o heres a sample of Tier 2 armor stats for a cleric... Slot: ARMS AC: +74 Str: +20 Dex: +40 Sta: +40 Wis: +20 Fire Resist: +25 Disease Resist: +25 Magic Resist: +35 Poison Resist: +25 HP: +285 Mana: +305 Mana Regeneration: +4 PJ

Yeesh nice Tier 2 /drool. What lvl do I need to be to start gathering items for the Tier 1 armor? ATM im 58.

No answer for ya surion, but I'll bump this and hope someone else knows. I'm about to begin my OoW factioning, and it's gonna be a long road, so hoping this method using the faction song is still open. Or have you discovered anything else in the last couple weeks surion?

worked for me about a week ago, I noticed no changes as I raised my faction then did the hand in for my traveler's boots.

The posts at the beginning of this thread (almost a year old) concur that you only need warmly to do the teir 1 armor, but ally to do tier 2+. It sounds like you got the faction to work Free? Are you saying you were able to get the armor with warmly faction, or did you start with warmly and get it up to ally to get the armor? What I'm wondering is not whether the song had been nerfed on this NPC, but whether the minimum faction level required for tier 1 armor has been raised. Thanks if you know, it's too daunting to start factioning atm, plz tell me it's slightly less painful than for other classes ;)

Hmm guess I don't know the answer to that question, I didn't bother to check my faction before, and was basing my response on the fact that CCC was able to land on Wyrmsong in the first place....I vaguely remember seeing a bump from warmly to kindly from it, and will check next time I'm there for you.

I used the same trick to get my Crown of Deceit. Was amiable before I got a druid friend to give me wolf form, which brought me up to kindly, used level 11 faction song and bam warmly and I am a happy camper with a new illusion item.
