A little help on MPG

I got invited with a guild group to go to MPG the other day. It was the first time I've ever been there, so it was exciting of course. We started near the blind PH and pulled from there for a while. Not too bad, and I was able to keep the pace up, since everything is spread out. Then someone wanted to move to 6-way... I must of died 6 times in an hour trying to pull around there. I just couldn't get the timing or something right. It probably would've helped if I had more FT (on 2 atm :( ) and waited long enough to get mana for a fade after the deaths, but I just felt like I was doing something wrong. Is 65 really too low to be pulling in there? I thought it was, since everything was red, but my group kept trying to reassure me that I was doing fine... I'd like to believe that, but I'm not that naive.

Re: A little help on MPG

First thing is, yes your too low for MPG, i didnt start going there till 68. Next problem is i dont think your pacify works. Ive not played a bard there so i cant really say for sure, i do know that my rangers lvl 68 paci doesnt on most because of their lvls. Most bards rely on fade to pull. Now being your 65 IF you can get a group even tho your low if you can fade successfully you may be able to single. However you have to get used to MPG. Agro ranges there are larger then alot of zones. The timing on fade is a biggie in MPG. Regarding your FT, you know you can get tribute for FT 5 at your lvl bringing you to 7. I only have FT 4 on my bard from tribute atm but thats only because im lvl 59, once i hit 60 i can get the 5th. IMO i think you should start in WoS and pull there and get used to pulling singles. Once you hit 67 you could start LFG in MPG. I cant really get into more detail because i pull there with my ranger and unfortunetly im limited to what camps i can pull because of the lvls on the mobs. Im a ways off from bringing my bard there. My best advise... Get more FT, turn in some items for tribute and get the tribute FT 5 then increase your mana pool because you need it for all the fading your gonna be doing while pulling.

Hey folks, I pull MPG quite a bit and I find that the lvl 66 lull works on some of the mobs in there but for the most part you have to either pull snare and fade with two, mez pull and fade or pull Highsun and fade. So, FT really makes a difference there. Hope that helps.

Re: A little help on MPG

You can do it, you're a bard. You just need some time to learn your way around. Pacify doesn't work in MPG, even the new OoW one, so don't sweat it. Without the 67 mezz and not enough mana to fade much, life is rough, but you can still easily hit two of the three nearby nameds. This is the poor man's guide to pulling 6way, no mezz and no fading. BTW, always have PoV up when tagging. Being snared on the pull is the pits. I tend to pull with dispell and then slow because many of the mobs have spell or melee mitagation buffs. But you may choose to pull with HoS and slow. The first is the corner directly south of camp. There are two see-invis mobs there. One is the static PH and the other a roamer. From camp go to the west corner and wait for the roamer to come to you. When you can see it, tag. Then the named/ph will be a single. The second named is off the SW 6way exit. Directly north of your camp there is a roaming discordling. The discordlings only assist each other and no other mob will assist them. So just tag it. No worries. In the plaza to your left there is the lighting warrior that guards the exit and a roamer. If the roamer is nearby get it first. Otherwise it will assist. It will also be in your way coming back to camp, so you want it early. Go down that SW path, a single huval at the end. Turning left there is a dragorn hiding behind a post. He snares. Make sure you have PoV up. Try to pull by getting close enough to start casting and then pullng out of his cast range before it hits. He's a fast sob and sees invis so if he does snare you, you're toast. I can usually get a mezz on him, but you don't get that till 67. The named is the center mob in the room west of there. He and the PH are discordlings, so tag and he's single. The other mobs in the plaza are all easy single tags if you are patient and let them path around. Watch out for the roaming Aneuk. He gates. His spawn is somewhere far far north and he will bring a dozen or so mobs back with him. So stop gating or camp out. The third named/ph is at the end of the NE exit on a little platform. This requires a split, so you may have to skip him till later. He can be hard to target, but you don't want to tag him anyway because the mobs on both sides will assist. I usually mezz the one on the right and he comes single. You could try snaring instead, but then you'll have to burn a fade in either case. The roaming discordling there won't assist. You may just want to grab him as an easy single pull.

65 too low IMHO for MPG. Especially without high mana regen. Lull doesnt work and and I would think snare/fade or mez/fade wouldnt work because everything will resist you at 65.

65 is doable but without FT and a decent mana pool it will be extremely hard.

Re: A little help on MPG

/wave Zingin if you have the group to support you ...mpg is doable at 65. I did it to exhaustion at 66 when omens was released. 6-way can be pulled single without hitting fade once. You just need to be judicious and patient about your pulls. Splitting the PHs for the 2 close named however is likely to cost you at least one fade. So its hardly the ideal camp if you don't have the mana pool and fades in you. Once the 6-way center area is broken ...its a nice spot to run your mobs around and debuff and slow them. If you are required to be the CC for the group either by mezz or simply by ensuring pulls are single...then insist on the blind hunter camp. WoS is more far mana intensive I have found...

Nice guide Dsavereide =). Yep, I pulled in MPG before getting any of my new mez songs, and it was hard as hell, but seemed well worth it.

Re: A little help on MPG

Im guessing by 6 way you mean the spot just north of Odiumate Isienne's spawn point. On Terris Thule we call that the courtyard (or CY). If thats the case you can pull the whole area without lull and Ill go over the steps that I use to pull the whole area including Kuruon, Ghio, and Odi or their placeholders. For this to work your group has to be at the south wall where the courtyard opens up and to pull Ghio without adds effectivly you must have Fading memories and the level 67 or 70 mezz song. 1. Pull the discordling in front of your camp. 2. run into the open area and turn west to see a lightning warrior. Wait for the west wanderer (usually a kyv, ukun, or noc) to move north then pull the lightning warrior to your group. 3. Run out to the same spot in step 2 and pull the west wanderer that I mentioned. 4. Run out to the same spot in step 2 and pull the east wanderer (usually a kyv or Ikaav). 5. Run out and follow the southwest hall down and pull a Huvval to your group. 6. Go back down the same hall as in 5 and continue further to find a large pillar with a dragorn by it. Pull the Dragorn. 7. Go down the hall again following the large open area south till you see a hall going west. Go into that hall and look north for a large circular area. Pull the discordling here (or Kuruon if hes up). 8. Run into the Northeast hall now and pull the discordling that passes in front of Ghio's spawn point. 9. This is the tricky one and how I pull it is to use my mezz song (the 67 version works here) but by this time the respawn is due within 1-2 mins, sometimes less so hurry. In this area youll see 3 mobs, 2 to the side of a platform (which are not lullable) and 1 on the platform (which is also not lullable). Use boastful Bellow or use Requim of time/dispel to pull 1 of the mobs to the side and you will get that mob + Ghio or his PH. Run down the hall and mezz the mob that is not Ghio or his PH right were the hall opens into the open area. Turn mezz off pull Ghio/PH to your group and Fade just before the tank gets arrgo and the last mob will not add. Instead it will go back to its spawn point. If you mezz gets resisted just bring it with you. 10. Run directly west from your camp and face south till you see a wandering mob. When it is NOT moving pull it to your group. If you pull it while its moving east Odi or her PH will add. 11. Once the wanderer is dead go down the south hall and pull Odi. 12. By now the 1st mob has respawned so rinse and repeat. If your confused get a map from mapfiend.com and it should help clear stuff up. If you have questions please feel free to ask and Ill try to answer them.

Re: A little help on MPG

Your post isn't that different from my post five above it except that's its numbered and you are doing them in a different order. But then again, judging from the three replies right below it, doesn't look like many people read it before saying that MPG is too hard at 65. It's not really. TF/BH is pullable by anyone. Tanks usually pull. No CC required. That means it's always camped. So you can't simply "insist" on it. Six way is the next easiest. Only one split and that's if you're going to do all 3 named. Most groups settle for two anyway. Another easy pull area is the road to Arcania. The mobs are all wanderers. There are distinct non-overlapping borders that groups of them roam in. Just stand there and wait and tag when one is single. Obviously, real pullers don't just wait, but this is a camp that can be done with no pullers or CC. Ditto for the road to Power, but its a bit harder to get to. The advantage of these two is, they are hardly ever camped. So even with thirty peeps in the zone, you can find a spot. The disadvantages are the difficulty getting in replacements past the see invis on the way and corpse runs if something goes wrong.
