    RSS ~ Basement

    I've done a ton of exping in rss, all of it being statue or rs, not even stairs. I knew some people exp'd in the basement, but i didn't have any interest in it until I saw the lute that drops there (fire illusion). Anyone have any comments on it from a bards perspective? I heard they proc mez down there >< .

    Mobs proc mez and lots of roamers walk by. Theres a bunch of named down there though. Conaden Darksong. 70 Bard Tholuxe

    Its not a bad camp. Go down the steps and make your first left.. across from Feratha's room. Keep headig straight til you get to a room (Shardtneder room) Pull this room up the steps (the pathing and warping is TERRIBLE) Once room is clear move the group into the room and turn right.. into the hallway. Pull the next room (Frostkeeper's Room) Stay in that hallway and work the 2 rooms. There is ONE mob that pops in that hall, and a Discordling mob that roams all over the basement (including into that hallway). That discordling is the PH for ShardMender (the mob that drops the lute) By camping in that hallway you are setting your group in the crossroads between 2 named camps, with a named roamer that can roam down your hall. 3 nameds for the price of one makes it a good camp. Just be sure to TIME the repop in your hall, and the roamer. ANd DON'T AFK. A attentive Mezzer and fast reacting tank are definitley REQUIRED to camp that spot. But it's a nice camp with 3 chances for a named every 20 minutes or so.

    If I remember correctly, don't mobs stop attacking you if you are mezzed?

    Yes. But after they mezz the MT, they are free to attack everybody else.

    if u stay in the girplin shardmender room u can pull frostkeeper to there and there is also a nemd Cyric the arcane or summat like that in the room u passed on the way to shardmender camp.. just means moving ur group a bit on respawns.. this gives access to 4 nameds from that camp.. good way to get folks to go there is that girplin shardmender drops 20ac augs so tanks want it

    I was hunting in RS (as my paladin of course) and got mezzed.... (we had 2-3 mobs in camp at the time, and no mezzer, so things were already a little hairy). Not only did the mobs all ignore me, but it seemed there was even some memwipe after mez wore off - I was the last person up, and I was able to sit down, mem res, and get enough time for it to ungrey and me to start casting it on the cleric's corpse before they jumped me - was kind of odd (and handy) that they were ignoring me that long, even seated. Oh yeah and something i like to do when fighting where mobs mez is to get some of the jester's poisoned bread, the tiny little dot on it should break mez for you. I used some after the incident described above and it seemed to work (though I didn't get a special message or anything); at least I was never stunned/mezed for long after that.

    Or better yet, get a REAL knight to tank it...thats right, a SHADOWKNIGHT!! Bwahaha. All jesting aside, lich form = self-dot, and it does indeed break mez.

    I got my lute (yea), but we camped it a bit differently. Down the stairs first left, move group in left near a girplan. Kill it. That is camp. You need to time that girplan. Snare and watch push to stay tight in that little cubby. No other roamers will aggro there. The named paths a big circle and will come in one entrance and out the other (NE and NW). Other roamers go in and out of the NE and S hallways, Shardtender is by the NW hall. Cyrec is the center mob of the room South. Frostkeeper NE. Good camp, no shortage of nearby mobs. Friend of mine took six nameds to get his lute. I got mine on the first one. A third guildmate got hers last week, but I don't know how many spawns. So its not that rare.

    I went down there this week to get some AC augs for our MT. It really wasn't any different than exping in the upper levels of the zone. Even got lucky and got me the lute that I'll never use (much love for perma lev and the air elemental illusion.)

    Kelp-String Lute of Tide Rituals (Illusion: Air Elemental) drops from Hexxt N'Vak Tkan in Ferubi. It's my personal favorite illusion 90% of the time.

    It's my personal favorite illusion 90% of the time.
    It's become my trademark in my guild. :) In fact, I've built my whole bard identity around being "The Cloud Bard." Probably my favourite item in the game.
