    Re: need some soloable shoulders

Nah, went after the pauldrons last night. Warrior: Joke Shammy: Joke (why I couldnt charm his pet, even tho I charmed Serv's pet last time I saw that ugly dragon is beyond me. Are pets uncharmable now?) Cleric: Kited and got a few heals from my wife when he got one or two lucky nukes in. Wizzie: Lulled him so I could get close w/o aggro, got within mez range and mezzed him, and alternated mez and nukes, got him to about 60% in a few nukes, and a velium hound showed up, so I mezzed both, sat down, memmed charm in place of lull, and charmed it, then told it to attack the wizzie, and it oddly happily broke my mez. I ran away, and since the wizzie was snared, the hound got to me long before the wizzie got in range. Recharmed, and sent back, hound died. Charged the wizzie mashing the mez key, got him mezzed before he cast, and burned him the rest of the way down. Never got one cast off...gonna try that on phinny next time I see him.

    Re: need some soloable shoulders

I just completed the Draconic Pauldrons with the help of one of my guilds high level druids. I have no real details on the battles as when I expressed my interest in the pauldrons we made arrangements to go get them the next morning and by the time I got on he had killed three of them leaving only the warrior, *caugh*joke*caugh*, which made me quite happy as I would have more instant gratification. NOT... First you need High Kindly or Warmly faction to do the turnin. I was currently high amiable and with the faction song could only get to low/mid kindly, so off I went in search of faction. I did this a few ways: 1. Mercenaries in EW and WL. You gather their broaches and turn them into the same guy you get the pauldrons from. Nice thing about this is you get decent faction and potions of Draconic Rage which are just uber fun to play with if you don't have procing weapons, proc is a fire based 65hp DD instant cast and won't interrupt your singing :) 2. Go into Kael and either get a group or see if you can tag others mobs. I actually ran into someone that was getting pl'd so there were lots of pulls, eventually a few others showed up that wanted CoV faction and we headed off to the Arena. I would not suggest tagging giants in GD as the faction you get from Kael is so much better. Anyhow, I have my pauldrons and some potions. Sooo much fun with max dex and deftdance :)

as far as faction the giants with long beards and steel cap likie helmets (frost giants) give 5 thurg faction points and 1 CoV. The Storm Giants , tougher, full steel helms and short beards gove 5 CoV faction points and 1 thurg. Mercenaries in WL and Keal and EW give 5 CoV points and 1 Thurg. They are the ticket.

Right, and then you went and soloed Klandicar too, right?? First, 2 of them cast, and try to root...how did you kill those? How did you avoid getting Ice-Comet'd by the wizard?? Even after 60, I have the mammals in WW resist my charm more than the flies in PoD, and break early more often too, so dont even try to tell me you charmed something, as everything would either resist, or break charm seconds after you cast it, leaving one pissed off wizard casting ice comet at you, and even if you did get them re-charmed, you would still have to deal with the ice-comet that was cast just after charm broke. Soloing them at 53, that I can believe, at 43, I dont think so.
