guide for noobs

Hello boys and girls, this is my guide to how to solo. Part 1:(AE KITING) Ae kiting is the most primitive and most simple one you will have to do once you are near 20 like 17 and up,grab a mob and run around with ae but make sure you have the lowest level song to make you run faster and make sure you are near enough for the ae to hit otherwise it won't hurt the mob.Be patient because like every type of kiting it takes time. Part 2:(CHARM kiting):once you ding 26 go buy your song and start mastering wind instrument because your going to need it,plus at high level your going to use invisibility song so it will come in handy. To charm memorize your spell and cast it but you will need to be close, after that send it to attack a group of enemies.don't worry we want it to break because then the enemy will be low and we can ae kite it to death. Part (MELEE MODE) Early on in eq from 1-17 you can easily melee enemies to death then sit and regenerate to recover and meanwhile singing a song wich lowers attack speed also known as slow and atk buffs.

Re: guide for noobs

Yippee !! paragraphing, lolol AE kiting is dead alas, as has been the case for some considerable time. Charm kiting <3 it .. Solon's is a lv 27 spell. The rest of this paragraph doesn't really describe how to charm/swarm kite. And there are plenty of very well written guides as it is. Btw, the ex-pet should be chant kited to death - AE kiting is dead, and besides AE would be an inefficient way to kill a single mob. There is little damaging the rest of the swarm with AE as the swarm itself is far more effective against any new pet. 1-17 .. well yer right in that melee'ing is the way to go. Tho' bard's don't get a slow til lv20, Largo's Melodic Binding. Not that its needed, even brand new players could earn enough pp from spiderling silks etc to buy enough twinkage to allow a simple haste/hp regen twist to pull singles continuously. That is if they aren't given toys by a friendly player, also common enough. ___________________ I accept your heart is in the right place, and you are trying to help others so pls take this as constructive criticism and not a flame. 10/10 for layout and structure on this post, 2/10 for content.

I know what you mean, tho' i'm not sure a true newb would. The old, and defunct, AE kite guides word this more clearly.
To charm memorize your spell and cast it but you will need to be close
So mem a spell, cast it and stay in range? Statements of the truly obvious like that are of questionable value. Guides particularly are something that one should take some time to compose, do your research. You could easily open the song listing on the left hand menu of the main page to check the spell lv if you aren't sure, for example. Preview! Re-read your text before submitting to ensure it is legible (yer got the paragraphing idea down :) ), that the prose flows smoothly ( not an issue here either, tho' to be fair many of your posts bounce about the subject erratically), and try to keep the content factual or otherwise clearly indicate it is opinion / that you are speculating. In a nutshell, quality >>>> volume. regards, Yianulla.

AE has been dead for a while now. SO why would you put that into yer so called noob guide. Not really going to flame you about it, but please know what you are talking about about before posting. And try searching before posting as well as there are tons of guides already on the boards. Rao

Re: guide for noobs

While AE kiting massive trains is dead, there is still a way to use AE's effectively. I remember the first time I leveled up I spent a good deal of time in north/east karana (15 to 20 maybe) using the ae songs and switching out instruments while tanking single mobs. Chords + lute, then DDD + horn, then Hymn + lute to stay healed. Those mobs would often die while I still had 80-90% life.
