Hey guys - New bard... currently lvl25, and was wondering... where are some good places to solo? And could someone explain to me how to "Swarm Kite" and our other forms of kiting? Was looking forward to AE kiting.. but damn nerf! AHH!! Oh well... thanks for any info =D :D

Honestly, I can't remember back that far. :( I am in the same boat as I am working a mage up, but he only 18 ATM. I know Grimling forest was fun, but may have to wait til you get closer to 30 to head there, but you may be able to handle the grimlings now, depending on your gear. Plus when I was there with my bard, we didn't have the health potions in game either, so they may make it doable at an earlier lvl.

search the forums and look in the guide section. You will need to level to 27 (first charm song) to attempt. It doesn't get really good until 39 (longer lasting charm song). Good luck =)

I started my bard in 2003 as a char just to goof off on when I wasn't playing my main. I decided 3 years later to level him up and make him my main. When I started playing him again this year he was around 25. At 25 I can't think of anything(solo) that is better xp than a full grp chain pulling. 25 is around the time when I leave paludal caverns and head to the low level side of echo caverns. The needelites are pretty easy to solo if you have temp, and a good damage shield. Soloing is so much easier these days with the addition of vendor bought haste, direct heal, heal over time potions. You can buy damage shields in the bazaar called Kylva's? When everything starts turning light blue on the low level side move over to the higher level side. By now you should have a charm spell which makes things easier but I was also able to kite(small space but doable) the xp here is very nice. Late 30s is when I really started soloing(chant kiting) I did this in Overthere(ramp) Gulf of Gunthak (castle area) and Dulaks Harbor. By the time you get there you will have a pretty good start.
