I just came back to EQ after a couple months and decided to start a new character on a new server. Ive got my bard up to lvl 10 and i was reading a bunch of these posts. I cant seem to find help. when i try to kite, and i use autocircle the mob is still hitting me but i dont seem to be close enough to have Chords of Dis. hit the mob. Can anyone explain to me what i may be doing wrong?

First.. you are trying to AE kite. AE kiting is dead. If the mob is moving (or trying to move and stuck on environment) Your AE song will NOT do ANY damage. Basically if you want to use AE's against mobs.. you need to TANK em. Sorry. Good news is: at 10 you should be able to... Jonathans or Anthem (Solo or Group) plus Chords plus Hymn and you should outclass a lot that will give you good xps Now at level 12 you have a kiting option with Bruscos Boastful Bellow, but I warn you, its slow

I wouldnt even bother trying to chant kite until your in your 40's and have 2 or 3 of Tuyens chants that you can use. Its better to just learn other bard skills until then.
