    Re: Pulling

In some cases, doubles are welcomed. I personally hate getting more than 1 mob,as it means that someone in my group might die. The nest,by far is one of the most dificult missions in dragons of norrath. Reason being, even when the level limit was 70,you would find red and yellow cons still. There should be no problem as mana regen is now much quicker than before while sitting down.

    Re: Pulling

to save mana, instead of fading when splitting two (or even three) pull with mezes, run one to the group, run back and refresh mez on the others either in or out of camp. Depending on your group's dps, you can think of them as "pull timers" - and use snare and mez on their way in to make the timing right. Or just watch your message window for when mez wears off while twisting in camp, toggle over to the new incoming mob and mez or hos/mez it on its way in. It saves a lot of running back and forth that way too.

    Re: Pulling

I am also a great proponent of mez-pulling, even on camps where lull is a perfectly suitable alternative. For me, I think I stopped using lull for primary splits when I started doing hard ldons; it was just waay too unreliable. Pre-planning your pulls and turning them into a managable 2 or 3 I found much more acceptable, and I guess I carried on doing it ever since. Another important thing that people often forget to mention, or just plain dont know, is that an assisting mob will not make an assist call of its own. This, combined with mez, allows you to pull off some amazing pulls and allows you to split camps nicely. You are still gonna use fade if you want singles, but with judicious planning you reduce the number of fades by a fairly large amount. I think one of the best things that happened for me, pulling-wise, was when I was no longer able to reliably use lull on a pull. Lull I consider a crutch for pulling; too many people rely so heavily on it, that when it no longer works they don't have the tools to be able to deal with the situation. Practice mez pulling; practice toggle-mezzing adds(11,22,33, switch target,(5) mez, toggle npcs,(5) stopmez, 11, 22... etc); if you have an unlullable add (but in charm range), use it for bonus group dps; make use of the likes of highsun for reverse splitting mobs (this invariably uses a fade a split though). Generally, have fun though. Don't think of not being able to use lull in a camp, but think of it as having an opportunity to play around with lots of other cool stuff we can do.

Since the days of LDoN, Lull has become a *LOT* more reliable. I use it all the time in TBS, and resists are extremely rare. One thing to mention about mez pulling... if there's a long range between you and the mob when mezz wears off, the mob will have forgetten about you and never come. So you'll have to run back and get him again.

    Re: Pulling

Oh, I still use lulls on occasion, but it is not my primary mode of splitting/pulling. My initial gut reaction when splitting will always be mez first. I generally only lull pull stuff after conscious thought. Or, if I am feeling really lazy, bellow and see what arrives... :P

    Re: Pulling

Highsun works great on the 2 adds that come with Taruk (TSS BP dropper). I got tired of mezzing them while the group killed.

    Re: Pulling

Tarnuk, Bloodfoot etc.. can actually be split from their leashed adds and pulled single. Highsun/mezz can be used, but it is a lot easier to just not have to deal with them.
