    Elementary my dear Filo

Hey fellow Rock Stars, Got mega issues. I'm adequately geared, got most weapons without twinking, I do great with twisting songs and multi tasking. Just a part timer though, so time is crucial. Here is my prob. I FINALLY DING 46....YAY FILO!!! I can go to the planes now....woot. I get there....and? There's nothing there. Someone tells me go to Plane of Justice. I find it after 2 hours of looking for the stupid scales. No lie. All I had to do was look up. AUGH!!! I go there, and I con everything and they're ok with me. Nothing attacks me, I freak out, I'm alone, it's new, blah blah blah. then nothing attacks, so I'm feelin pretty good. Then, the very robed knights who walked past me earlier run up and whack my ....well, they start attacking me when I begin a fight with a festering rat or whatever. Why do they social aggro with the rats? Basically what I need is this...I need a basic walk thru, for the first hours of going into the Plane of Tranquility/Justice/or wherever I should go soloing, what I need, or who...lol I just suck. Got my Singing Steel britches handed to me by 2 stupid rats...who were dk blue to me. The one was bad enough. I only got it down to like 96% and my atk is about 1000. LOL. Again. I just suck!!! Please help me get my A Game back....thanks guys. Filo

bard melee and tanking isn't very good till a few expansions after that at least, and if you have adequate gear that you acquired yourself at 46, you're probably looking to get torn up fast in that content. but that just makes things interesting. i recommend play styles where you don't get hit. charming, chant kiting, swarming, these are your most powerful tactics. If you like fear kiting, this is your last chance to use it pretty much, though it never suited me personally. But in a few levels, there won't be much use for it any more. Even post ae kite nerf, dulaks is still a kite haven, so many different styles work there, I love using charm to swarm or just cause some chaotica with. Nadox would be a good spot after that. If you want to hunt pop specifically, I'd hit pod at 46, not poj. Whoever told you PoJ probably wasn't a bard. Plane of Disease is an outdoor zone with a lot of wide open space. Charm, chant, even fear. It's a bit drabby looking though. Plane of Disease looks like a muddy water faucet up and to the right of when you come out of the building with the book, up the hill, you simply jump in and drop into the zone. The zone out is right where you zoned in at, there's a square stone lifted off the ground, click on it, and it opens up and you fall through back to plane of tranquility. Plane of Nightmare has a ton of kiting opportunity as well, be aware almost everything there sees invis. Zone out is a tombstone inside the building by the graveyard you zone in at, and another across the river behind the grassy hedge maze. For a few levels you'll probably have to rely on charm or kite tactics when you solo. At 55 start looking into don, and maybe dod, i forget what level that begins at. Both will upgrade your gear tremendously and ridiculously well even. If you have the new expansion TSS, man, there are some level 20 quests that would have upgraded me when I was where you were at. They're really offering some super fun quests, with some very updated rewards, lower level, but comparable to the goodies with the new expansions. Flowing Thought can come from easy quests here, and here's a 25 quest with a weapon reward I would have KILLED for at level 65 back in the day lol Treantwood Staff http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=52178 Welcome back, be inventive is the best advice I can think of, and let us know how it goes!

I also wanted to add that while I've mostly hunted in the higher end zones, I have found Time level gear dropping in the 60+ TSS zones. I'm sure every thing is better in tss. Also, most tss zones are outdoor bard paradises, with tons and tons of places to kite, charm, and do bard kind of stuff. If you have the expansion, you'll probably be able to discover on your own some fantastic camps.

Talk to Scout Madu in Goru'kar Mesa (he's near the zone to Blightfire) and do all his armor quests. They will be super-easy at 46 for a Bard and yield almost Ornate quality gear. There are a few other places in the zone that have pretty decent quests, of course, you gotta pick a faction :) The camp by the Bard vendor has some even though the NPCs aren't specifically labelled (Quests). Exp in PoP is still pretty nice, but you're not going to be able to melee solo anything higher than green for a long time. If you want to hunt there, then you've gotta kite for quite a while.

I just saw this. I'm on Saryrn (Mith Marr at heart still!) and you seem like a true bardly sort, so say hi if you need help with stuff. Calli
