Has any Bard soloed Trakanon in Old Sebilis? What level and kind of gear would you need and tactics? I know Trak is difficult because he casts a spell that sends you into the middle of the tunnels with a bunch of mushrooms waiting for you.

At 75 he's pretty much trivial. To counter the banish just pull him within summoning range of the banish spot. Across the bridge or into the water works well. If you pull him across the bridge, make sure you've got enough time to beat repops.

I've heard of rangers soloing trak, and they use their instant camouflage to avoid getting aggro from the mobs in the place where they are banished to. Bards could get the same effect from a stack of cloudy potions, since they are instant cast too. Using fm would be a bad idea because you'd lose aggro from trak and never be summoned back again. --- I hear tell that people are starting to solo farm these Kunark-era mobs to sell the stuff in the bazaar to all the lower-level drakkins. The armor drops have no level limit, and have interesting clicky effects, so are fairly easy to sell.

Since i am in the process of doing this camp for my Epic 1.0, could you post some techniques on how to solo him? =)

1) Clear a few Jugs in the area...

2)  Pull Trak across the water...

3) Melee him until banished...

4) Run back towards him until you're within summon range (summon range has been drastically reduced)

5) As soon as you're summoned fade any other adds you got and go to step (3).

Gotcha, I just assumed I wouldn't be able to tank him.  I'd imagine I'd try to land a slow than just play haste and go at it =).  Thanks for the info, I'll try that.  Again, I just assumed i wouldn't be able to melee him.

I've been logging on the past couple of days for this camp...still no UDB =).  The unfortunate thing is my fishing pole broke as well!  What is a bard to do to occupy their time.  Only so much backpack space for lvl 57-60 spells.

25 levels later I finally got my epic 1.0 =).  I don't know if I would have been able to solo trak though...it would have been tough.  The blinding and the banishment were pains in the rear.  I brought a 80 monk friend and between he and I, running back and forth from banishment and fighting in the water, we were able to get through em.
