    Duoing with a Paladin

Currently I'm lvl 61 and I've been duoing with a 73 pally since about 50. Till now I've just twisted manasong/haste and overhaste of slow/snare if it'd stick and try not to die. Over time I'm beginning to suspect that with her I really should be focusing more on DS/AC songs now that we're going no longer just farming stuff. So what would y'all suggest?

A good general melee twist would be: Psalm of Veeshan (Damage Shield/Resists) Song of the Storm (75 DD proc - 400% procrate I believe) Niv's Harmonic (AC buff) or Cantana of Replenishment (HP/Mana regen) Selo's Consonant chain (snare & slow up to 36% at your level) or Selo's Assonant Strain (not as effective, but its an AE so you can use your paladin to drag NPC's ontop of your bard and leave the bard running /melody). Largo's Assonant Binding is probably a better alternative to Selo's Consonant but I like Selo's - It works for me :) With only a single partner though, you might find your DPS is better by equiping a drum in your offhand and just Melee/DoT (3 x Dots, 1 x snare) with your bard.

After running through the various interation her I've found that the best twist Veeshan, Song of Storm, Winds of Marr and Selo's Assonant Strain. I'm wearing a Painted Primal Mask and have a Warpwood Waraxe primary a a Cavalry Saber secondary. With this setup we kill mobs ranging for dark blue to me up to dark blue to her almost nonstop. The AoE snare/slow is essential because we commonly pull and kill 2 at a time. The 4 chant twist seems to leave us with way too much downtime. It's the difference between her ending a fight at 99% health and mana a being half heath and no mana. I have not real clue as to why that is but it's the way of it. I also keep my best mezz loaded in case we get 3 or four that are blue to me. I'll keep the extras mezzed on deck while she kills a single.

Well, the 4 chant twist (you could use 5 :)), you have no slow, or regen. And those can make a huge difference. When you compare DoT dps to decent melee dps, the DoTs pale. DoTs are great for kiting and maintaining aggro as a bard tank, but they are teh suck for dps. In your twist, I would recommend swapping out Song of Storm with War March, especially if you have no chanter or shaman haste buff. It's 60% haste plus nice stats and a good damage shield which stacks with Psalm.

I would suggest using the 50's aura for overhaste, and try swapping out Stormsong for your best haste song. Of course, if you prefer to use potions, that may not work. Grith
