    Re: SoF songs

For any who may feel that The SoF songs we get are sad, or perhaps not meeting expectations. Before complaining I would encourage you to look at the SoF Class aa's bards get. I'm Giddy over them.

    Re: SoF songs

It doesn't take much to get you giddy does it?

I bet you sit at home at night writing gloomy poetry by the light of a black candle while listening to Linkin Park, don't you?

    Big Smile

In all seriousness... for me, the jury's still out on the songs.   I'm only 76, so I only have the first 5 to play with for now.

Although this seems like a good time to ask, is anyone using that Bertox boost song?  I didn't buy it, yet.   No plans to do so, unless I hear a compelling argument to have it.

ALSO:    Do we have a comprehensive list of all (I'm assuming about 15-25) new songs from SOF?  There are 5 for level 76, what about 77-80?   Someone's got to have them already.  I haven't ventured out enough to find the spell vendors for 77-80, but I'd like to see some discussion of them.

    Re: SoF songs

well, I tested Bertoxxulous's Verse of Virulence with a necro, and he said that it only helps a bit so not that amazing...

don't expect to get all of the songs from the vendors, as of lvl80 songs, 3 out of 5 of the songs aren't purchasable. If i remember correctly, Erradien's Psalm of Potency(78) and Polyphony of Pain(79) can't be purchased too....sad

    Re: SoF songs

I never listen to necros, lol.

I love their dps output and generally are played very well but IMO necros has been a class that SOE has let get out of hand.   Anytime there is a nerf for necros it is generally because of something SOE overlooked,  like mob summoning.  Other classes have their spells or melee abilities nerfed but seldom does this happen to a necro.

As for our SoF songs, well I am happy to see the new dots, the damage from these is double what our previous ones did.  New lulls and mezzes well that was to be expected.  The biggest disappointment, to me anyways, is the seperation of the damage enhancement song lines. One for disease, one for cold, one for fire and none of these seem to have any over-haste attached.  So you are either benefitting a particular caster or casters or the melee but now both anymore.  Sure there is still our auras (which never seem to last long and take up a song slot) but how many casters stand in range of it.

At level 80, this is what I have decided for a general group song list to keep memmed:  Aura, Darkvine, Coldcrow, Jonathans, Mana/hp regen, lull, mezz, HoS, and slow.  I generally swap Veeshans in place of Jonathans, if pulling alot of caster mobs.  If someone can think of a better line-up be feel to post it, but I figure this one is a good general purpose on for most group scenerios.

Any time you fade, your aura loses track of you and you have to reapply.  Wonder if it'd be worth it for us to try to have the aura switched from a song to a disc like the pure melee run.

    I don't see why not...
They gave bards several abilities that are rather unique through the AA set; Fierce Eye, Dirge of the Sleepwalker, and Quick Time.

All of which are firm spell-like abilities. Might make sense, and it would free up yet another song slot.
