Currently level 56 Bard ( 99% and holding while farming some aa's and leveling up a cleric for company ).

Having a bit of a time trying to figure out viable gear upgrades and what is worth pursuing at this level range.
I have a level 52 now and rising cleric that I am boxing with. Either meleeing with cleric support, or kiting with the bard while the cleric leaches xp in the background.
Up till now I had found the energeaic gear pretty worthwhile and easy to find in the bazaar. Looking into the dwerium trio jewlery I wasted some money there playing around with different augs and haven't found a suitable mix for my level range yet the penalties on augments with a target level higher than 60-65 are pretty harsh, and most of those for sale with solid stats are targeting level 70.
Any suggestions on what armour or weapons I should be considering pursuing. I am thinking perhaps the DoN augments and picking up crystals in the bazaar may be a method of upgrading some items, though the life tap augments appear to be level restricted to 70, so they are a ways off.
I do have some aquaintences in Norrath, but I have been absent for a couple years and pretty much just play casually / solo, with the odd group now and again.
