    The good old days

     I kinda miss everquest.

I really did love playing it,but i think the game itself had changed me for the worse.

Also the people weren't bad at all,i had met alot of great and terrible people in everquest.

Some people had done things i would never expected, they had put their own time and went out of their way to help.

I wish all of yo the very best.

I remember running around in west karana and east karana soloing with my ae songs and killing enemies or dying for the first time in oasis de marr and trying to get my body but ending up dead cause a sand giant got me.

I remember groups in sirens grotto wich was one of the most fun days.it was so funny that i was charmed and i killed my group ROLF!!

I remember loio both in the good and bad sense and firiona vie.

Those spiders are nasty and killed my poor lil bard.before that i was grouped in loio and my group pulled the emissary of the castle who was lvl 40 or 50.

I remember dying and thinking wtf? we all wiped.

I didn't care much for the new expansions as they just didn't feel as fun.It seemed all about grinding and gear and leveling to the next level.

It no longer seemed fun for some reason. But i salute you al for the good times and i am happy i had enjoyed the time with everybody.

     I'm kinda sad now.

I think i have been mostly forgotten as i didn't have all bad intentions.

Sometimes i sopose i made the wrong decision but thats a diferent story.

The best part about quiting is coming back!  Sometimes everyone needs an extended break.  The longest I've taken off was a year.  I even removed EQ and tossed the install CD's.  Take it from me... Don't toss the install CD's.

I'm sorry but i love playing classical everquest too much to play now.

The experience i had in the last era would ruin the experience.

I would play if it were the classical version wich i have been considering ever since i heard about it.

Otherwise forget about the new age one with new graphics and a billion years long quests combined with nonstop consumption of raids

for the ultimate weapon and armor.

I guess I don't know what your definition of the classical Everquest is.  I played from Kunark to Luclin and the game (outside of graphics) really hasn't changed THAT much.  I took a 5 year break and returned this past November.  Back then until today, the game is what you make of it.  I was in a raiding guild back then, as I am today, and to me, its the same...the quest for the ultimate gear which in turn will rot as the new expansions come out....

again, it is all what you make of it.

    rinse and repeat.

I mean pre planes of power.

    In other words:

    Kunark

    velius and such.

Before planes of power the game wasn't just about raiding.

I guess I disagree somewhat, simply because that is when I was big into raiding.  We were constantly raiding NTOV, Sleepers Tomb, DN (Zlandicar), etc...which to be honest, the way things have been modified in the new game (I left at Luclin), you can now summon your corpse, have raid channels, raid banners, etc...raiding has been made less of a hassle in my opinion.

    Re: The good old days

at the beginning it wasn't as much raiding and more of other stuff.

Now at higher lvl it seems all people do is lvl up and and raid and become obsessed about being number 1 even if it means steppig on everybody.

I understand your point, but the benefit of the new system, at least in my eyes, is they implemented instances, so now you don't have to fight for the mobs any longer...what a wonderful thing!

    Re: The good old days

Instances can sometimes be terrible too.

Imagine if everybody only did ldons and you had 1 hour of freedom.

You would never level up cause you would be waiting most of the time,i think a balanced game is a good game.

Things were alot more balanced in the beginning.

Gear:there wasn't much to brag about so there wasn't much bragging and then also because the most common drop loots were what was worn.

Zones:Because there were less zones, those old zones you loved were occupied and there was more of a comunity meaning you knew people and they knew you and got along better.

Raids:raids were simple but fun wich was a good thing,i like a balance between raids and exploration.Too much raids can get boring and too little can also be boring.

The problem with raids was that at high lvl,all you did was raid for a zone key wich got boring in planes of power expansion and in god expansion. Also alot of raids were unacessible to most people and only the elite got in creating more elite elites who thought they were god cause they had tob aug.ITS JUST A FUCKING ITEM!! 1 stupid fucking digital screened image. It's not real ***,you cannot touch it or feel it.

Sorry for the swearing,i get emotional on these conversations.I know alot of you are christians and all,and its cool and i don't want to make anybody mad.

I understand you have kids an you want to keep your kids away from it.
