The entire past year I have dedicated to learning .NET. I can point out good books or free open source samples for you to check into if you're interested in learning.
So for a year I had been playing around with building the "perfect" site framework. You may notice I have a few sites out there, they may have a similar look, but it all culminated to what you see now.
The most influential source of my .NET knowledge has been Rob Howard's ASP.NET forums. This is open source code. It has helped me to build websites in a way that I hope will be blazing fast, and incredibly efficient and scalable. Using his forum code as a base for EQDiva forums, I am armed with a solid base on which to build a site.
I did not initially plan on using these forums, but they seem to be working out rather well. I would like to be able to move away from EZBoard forums, but I do know that EQ is mostly EZBoards, so you all have your EZBoard names and you're used to the format. But it sure would be nice to have a site that's 100% integrated with its forums. However, I'm not sure how this site will deal with site AND forum traffic (I already exceed my bandwidth twice over).
So, hats off to the ASP.NET team, and if you'd like to learn to build your first .NET site, check out their free code. I must admit its advanced, using server controls for everything, but it will take your abilities as a .NET programmer beyond your expectations.
