    KeizUI10 (15 July 2004)

    What's new in this version?: 1. Added numeric current/max mana and endurance stats to the Vitals (combined Player and Group) window. 2. Added numeric current/max mana and endurance stats to the Inventory window. 3. KeizBag2 now included, this allows the Container window to work with the new augment interface. --- Overview of features: 1. [b]Bank[/b] - Includes Change button, Auto-Bank button, both Shared inventory slots, and the Shared platinum bar. 2. [b]Buffs[/b] - Includes numbers for each buff slot, allowing assessment of slots avaiable at a quick glance. Actual name of buff also displayed. 3. [b]Combat Abilities[/b] - Overhauled, now much sleeker and fits nicely next to the Target window and includes the Target's Target information. 4. [b]Container[/b] - Includes (up to) 9 clickies. Fully customizable through the KeizBag utility. 5. [b]Hot Buttons[/b] - Includes Primary/Secondary, and all eight inventory slots. This allows for easy instrument/weapon swapping as well as quick access to your bags. 6. [b]Inventory[/b] - Similar to the classic inventory. Now includes numeric current/max mana and endurance stats. 7. [b]Loc[/b] - Built a loc referance guide into the Feedback window (also works in Help window). Fully customizable through the KeizLoc4 utility. 8. [b]Songs[/b] - Same changes as for the Buffs window. 9. [b]*Spell Book[/b] - Using the t.King Elven spell book. 10. [b]Target[/b] - Includes the spell casting-time bar and target health percent. Also flashes with Autoattack engaged. 11. [b]*Tracking[/b] - Stripped of Ranger-only features for use by Bards and Druids (Rangers may delete the EQUI_TrackingWnd.xml file to retain full functionality). 12. [b]Vitals[/b] - Includes both the Player and Group information. The game thinks this is the Group window. I did this to allow me to use the Player window as the Target window so it would flash with Autoattack. Optional: 1. [b]Buffs and Songs[/b] - Hires (larger icons, larger fonts) versions. 2. [b]Clickies[/b] - Fully customizable (through the KeizRCW3 utility) window for right-click items. Unfortunately, if you use this the Con color will not show up in the Target window. 3. [b]Container[/b] - Slimmed down to reduce screen real estate usage. 4. [b]Combat Abilities[/b] - Slimmed down to only four slots to save screen space. --- Screenshots and downloads available through the link (rockfiend quote) in my sig.

    Pet window problems

    Hey Keiz, love the UI. Please keep up the good work. I looked through the thread on the old forums and still haven't found a solution to my problem. My pet window pops up and is too small to be able to see all the buttons. So far I have tried: Deleting the Pet window from the Keiz directory in an attempt to get it to revert to the default window. No effect. Copying the default folder's window into the Keiz directory. No effect. Editing the Pet window xml file to set "resizable" to true. There were only two instances of resizable in the file. The lower one was already true so I set the upper one to true also. This did have an affect but only allowed resizing of the box horizontally (IE make it wider.) I still cannot rezise it vertically (IE make it taller.) Any ideas?

    Actually, Gwyon the Bard finally nailed the problem on the head on the EZBoard forum. I'll quote him, here, for easy referance:
    I had the same problem with the pet window a way ago and sorted it by going into the window setups in the UI setup file and manually increasing the PetInfoWindow height number until the problem was corrected.
    So... As it turns out the problem is in the INI file that comes with KeizUI. Seeing as I never use the Pet window, it still had the old default values from waaaaaaaaaaaaay back. Since then, VI has changed the Pet window and apparently the game takes the size value from the INI file, so it comes up too small. I will fix this in the next version of KeizUI! --- Also, because I get a lot of PMs with this question... I finally got the con color to show up in the Target window while still having it flash with Autoattack! Before, I could get it to only do one or the other (and with KeizUI7a, I opted for the Autoattack flash). So you can all look forward to that feature in KeizUI8. :) I plan to release that the next time EQ has a major patch, but might release it early if there's enough demand for the con color in the Target window.

    This is just an awesome UI and I just gotta love it. I now use it on all my chars and it fits in just great with everything I do. Sadly there's a small issue that maybe you could fix, which generally won't come up for most people, but a couple of times recently it's affected me at raids The active songs window only has 6 slots in it, but this just isn't enough if you're on a raid and grouped with another bard. Recently we had one bard playing Chorus of Marr, one on Elemental Rythmns and crazily due to more bards than groups there were 2 bard in my group. With both of us twisting just 3 songs each my songs window filled up and I couldn't tell which of the other bard's songs had landed for a lot of the time because i'd filtered out song messages 'cos spam in raid is just crazy. We have a few bards in our guild and occasionally I go rampaging with them and I'm sure this problem will rear it's head again. We're pretty proficient at twisting and can manage 4 songs each. I know there's stacking issues, but it is possible to get some serious twists going between a couple of you. Is there any chance you could perhaps create a song window with 8 or even 10 slots for us crazy raiding bards that just love to twist?! Failing that just an explanation of what lines to change in the file would be cool. I had a look but it's all gobbledigook to me! This isn't a major problem, just affects me from time to time, but it was sooo confusing and put me off what i was doing a fair bit that night. Thanks again tho for such a great UI, it's the subtle differences to the original that make it so great

    Ummm, that has nothing to do with Keiz's UI. There are only 6 slots in the song window EVER. Just like you can only really have 15 normal buffs on you can really only have 6 songs on at any given time.

    Keiz, I actually installed version 8 lastnight and unlike what you stated at the top of the thread, the target window doesn't flash like it used to. Did you just overlay the "player window" and the new "target window" to make it appear the way you stated? Keep in mind I'm not using your .ini so I dont know how you had it set up.

    There was no way to make it both flash with Autoattack and show Con color. It was one or the other. So I cheated. There are two parts to the "Target" window. One, the game believes is the actual Target window. The other is what the game thinks is the Player window. To make the "Target" window both flash and show Con color, these windows need to physically overlap each other. If you'd used the INI file, they would have. =) Older versions of KeizUI used the Player window as the "Target" window - this is what makes it flash with Autoattack. But KeizUI8 also uses the actual Target window as part of its "Target" window - this is what makes the Con color show up. Hope that clears things up.

    I love the KeizUI, but I don't use V8 on my bard, I'm still running 17a. I'm all for con color on the targetting window, but I liked the clickies window more. On my other characters, I moved to 8.

    Hello Keiz. I've downloaded your UI and it's working wonderfully, best one I've used so far! Just have a slight problem though, the site (http://java.sun.com/) hosting your JRE program is currently down and I was wondering if you knew any other JRE program that would be safe to download?     LOL, if java.sun.com is down (which yes it is atm) then more serious things are wrong than just keiz's UI program. JRE stands for java runtime environment, it is the interpreter (underworkings) for keiz's program. There might be some ftp sites out there, but almost every where you look is going to be pointing to sun's machine, so you'll just have to wait for it to come back up. Its one of the worlds most needed machines so it shouldn't be down long.

    When they made a seperate song window way back when they limited the number of songs that could be in it to six... this was originaly intended to correct a problem people were having with songs taking the spot of beneficial buffs. I know with a shammy, cleric, and ranger in group quite frequently I have to click off a few buffs to allow room for HoT and epic proc. This was a good change, but allowing characters to have infinite song buffs plus regular buffs may e a bit un-balancing, so all extra songs will spill into your regular buff window.

    i really would like a responce, if anyone knows where the uhm...preloaded songs button is on this thing...normally right click on the button below spells, but not finding it here, lemme know

    The Spellbar defaults to OFF in KeizUI (if you use my INI) because I do not use it... I hotkeyed all the song slots and use the Hotkeys to twist, etc. I know the button you are talking about, and you have to turn the Spellbar back on to get at it (ALT-S, I think).

    i, as well use the hotkeys to twist, and absolutly hate the spell bar, but the advantage to having macro'd spell sets is something i cant do without, so i was gonna see if it was there somewhere, or if i have to navigate/learn to do UIs. thanks for the quick responce man
