    Bard single pulling Feratha

Hey there. My guild has the ability to kill Feratha, but we only have one star puller...ME! I've spent several hours of raid time, trying to get this guy single....anyone got any tricks they can share? For those who don't know, there are some inherent difficulties in this pull: 1. He casts AE snare that lasts about 18 seconds, and is virtually unresistable, even with 541 all resists. 2. He runs pretty fast. 3. He has about 7 guards. 4. If he and his guards lose agro anywhere from the last flight of steps upward, they will warp back. Things I've tried: 1. Start kazumis, hit bellow the instant before kazumis lands, run up the stairs and Fade before fera reaches me. 2. Same thing, but try to get fera to go down the left hall (as you go down from entry level, first hall on the left), while his pets go down the right hall. I saw a monk do this, but I haven't managed to duplicate it. 3. Have rogues feed targets, and have chanter help try to paci his guards. This resulted in splattage of all involved. 4. Set up a pull relay, of people spread out between Ferathas room and the camp, people tag, and splat etc, to get him to camp, despite snare. So, anyway, if you HAVE tried this, or better yet done it successfully, please post below. :)

Pulling him solo is possible but to many things can go wrong, adds warp or stuff like that. We usually bring him to camp with 1 or 2 of his guards and just mezz them. Splitting the guards is easy but you might get a couple of splats depending if that snare lands on you. We usually tag team with monks. Monk or bard lull one guard and agro the rest then run down. Once the rest of the mob chase the agroer just tag the lulled mob and take him to camp. Do that a few more times and Feratha ends up solo. Also to speed things up put a mage with the pull grp since sometimes one of the pullers ends up snared and we end up having to wait for him to get out of the way before pulling again.

Heh, that's a good idea. We're low on chanters, so I generally try to get him single. Good idea to get his pets first if poss, will try that tactic.

Tan... Do you have any monks? We usually pull the pets first and then single Feratha at the end. Clear the long hall past Feratha's room. Have the Monk pull the entire room down the hallway, then pick off the pets as they return. With a couple of enchanters you should easily be able to handle 3 pets at a time. If no monk, YOU pull the entire room down the hall and fade. Have the MA pull the pets as they return. The only bad thing is if the MA gets Feratha due to shitty pathing in the area, your raid is probably dead.

Pulling this guy sucks. Sometimes I get him out single, sometimes he has an add or 2. The biggest issue I've found now is that he completely warps back to his room upon a mem wipe. I usually train him down the hall until I get him or a few of his guards and kill whatever comes first.

Actually Feratha is a feran. There are 2 static ferans in the room past him. Pulling the feran in front of feratha brings him and usually 1 of his guards out. First time I pulled Feratha I pulled him using the wandering feran. I completely forgot about it until I was goofing around in RS about a week and a half ago and found the static spawn ferans. Then it hit me like a ton of bricks. I pulled the static feran past feratha and lo-and-behold... here comes a solo feratha. Too easy.

There is a way to single pull him past all his friends... it may not be completely legal so use at your own risk. Ill just hint. You can have a secondary bard use vision (the song that lets you see from a mobs eye) the level above the room. And lull each of the mobs that will assist (for some reason you can lull from above). Then have the main bard that is sitting outside the room tag when they are all lulled....

Something else you can do is just tag him, fade and wait a second. He'll just walk out of the room and you can tag him then. Well, he used to do this, not sure if it got fixed. We haven't done feratha in a long time.
