    Signet farming

hey everyone! just getting some opinions on farming signets. so far i got 2 ( thought i had 3... must've lost the MPG one i got somewhere along the line  lol) , the one from Draniks hollows, and Rcod. now the only ones im worried about arent the ones from RSS, WoS, or MPG. im just wondering what you people have to say about the draniks sewers and the draniks catacombs. so far i've tryed the catacombs 3 times but have trouble breaking due to the group gaining agro from near by mobs while im splitting/ the sheer volume of adds when pulling it lol. I heard that it could easily be duoed with a cleric by sticking to the wall and not moving away from teh pillar. anyone have any idea on that plan? also whats up with the sewers? i have yet to try that one ;)

    Re: Signet farming

This is a cheesy way to do it, I'm generally against doing things the cheesy way, but these signets are really annoying and take far too long the "right" way. Have your group by the zone in, get the expedition, run in, see if the signet mob is up or if it's a PH. A necro is ideal for this (we'll get into it later). If it's a PH, leave the expedition and get a new one until it's the sig mob. Also, make sure it's the right instance... it's harder to get the right version of the zone than to get one where the Sig mob is up. Once you get the sig mob, get as many people to him as possible... in catacombs, stand in the cubby behind the sig mob, in sewers, there's a hall behind him with a murk you need to kill first, but it's pretty clear. If there are see invis mobs (which there definitely will be in Sewers, and possibly in Catacombs), drag the bodies to the necro and get them rezzed. You, as the bard, may need to mez the mob while rezzes are happening, or just kill it and rez up afterwards. At this point you can either sit there and hope for a new sig mob every 20 minutes or drop the expedition and repeat for everyone who needs it. We managed to get 3 catacomb signets and 2 sewers signets in a little over an hour like this.

    Re: Signet farming

cool thanks trebla :) only one thing, i didnt think there were any cubby holes in the catacombs. as far as i remember its just a round room with two enterances each side with roamers that cut across teh room. we tryed killing off the roamers but we'd always get agro from nearby mobs bringing like 3 lol. i know theres a cubby hole in the hollows instance where there was a murkglider and a rat, the murk was a PHer for a named rat lol. also, i never had a chanter with me while trying the catacombs to take care of the mezzing. since i can only hold 3 effectively, 5 or so mobs would swamp us. but yes... ill definately have to try that *cheesy* way lol. those camps are kinda annoying. thanks again :D

    Re: Signet farming

The cubby I'm talking about in the catacombs is really just a notch right behind the sig mob. If your group stays in there you won't get aggro from any roamers or anything else in the room and can fight the sig mob by himself. You can keep just the sig mob mezzed while the necro rezzes whoever couldn't make it on their own. And in the sewers you'll only have to keep the roaming murk mezzed while the Necro rezzes... of course, it helps to have someone who can drag corpses or you'll be doing a lot of fading and running around.

    Re: Signet farming

That notch is just a little crook in the wall, I sat there with a group for around 8 or 9 spawns and for fun and exp we killed off the roaming mobs and also the other named that pops in that same sewers room there but over by the far rock. I remember being able to pacify mobs for single pulls, but youre right that the two roamers can add unless they are your first kills. I was also able to mez most mobs but they went down pretty fast and mezzing was not really necessary. The mage pet usually tanked one mob and the rest of us beat on a second then joined the pet to finish off a 2nd mob. I was a little hard pressed to keep the pulls coming from the surrounding rooms while we waited for the signet mob to spawn again. We took out the Foreman a couple times from what I remember. There was some interesting cash/bazaar loot in there but nothing that we wanted to wear or use.
