    shammy duelin

Anyone have any specific tips for shammy dueling? Sham got qvic gear, I'm about time geared. I know obviously to spam dispells, mana drains, and keep veeshans on. The problem is the awesome amount of mana they can acheive thru eating themselves, and of course, there pet which can be more than an annoyance if they are panthered. I'm thinking maybe chain dispells on the pet (for panther) and him for buffs etc. Then, after a series of 10 or so mana drains, proly some melee twisting after slowing the pet (anyone know if sham pets get their resists from their masters?). I will figure out what the canni spell effects look like i guess then fire off a mana drain everytime he does it or maybe just every time it pops. Only thing I'm worried about is that mass canni aa he has, one HoT and he could heal himself pretty easily (my dps sucks). I know dueling and pvp are too different things, but what would some of you zek bards do in this situation? Any tips would be helpful.

    Re: shammy duelin

Realize this is an ancient post, but my reply is applicable to ANY caster.  Get Ancient Lullaby of Shadows and Ervaj's Lost Compostition.  Open up with the former (unresistable mez on other players) and then spend the next several minutes stripping them of thier mana.  Can toss in a dispell right before you mez to take any buffs they have off.  Once you're confident they're out of mana, go in playing Aura of the Muse, Psalm of Veeshan, War March of the Muram, Jonthan's and whatever else you want to toss in and burn them down.  If you're decently geared, your melee should interrupt anything that's not insta cast.  For classes that have pets, keep your highest level mez song up and keep them out of the fight using toggle last target to get from one to the other.  The only class I can see this possibly not working on is a cleric, but I can't say that I've tried.
