Well I started this toon about 3 years ago to play when i got bored with my main, lvl 70 ranger with like 600aa's, and fell in love with playing a bard and now I don't even play my ranger anymore, hehe. I pretty much Solo'd my whole way up to 63, grouped very little, but now I'm finding it very hard to solo and very hard to play in groups. I got him to lvl 60ish about 2 years ago and took a break from EQ, just came back a couple months ago and trying to get to 70. I'm an AA fiend and its killing me not having Fading Memories and some of the other good ones, so I'm dying to get to 70 Im currently lvl 67 and trying to grind it out to 70 so I can start getting in good groups and pound out the AA's, but as it stands now I only have 3 AA's and put em into Run3. I've tried AoE'ing in PoV some with marginal success. I know looking at the guide in the guide section of the website it suggests having Instrument mastery AA which I do not have, so I've had issues with speed. Gonna keep practicing there, but open for suggestions on it and other places Any suggestions on solo spots for exp, either Swarming or AoE, because I'm getting tired of just lfg for 2 hours then finally finding a group when its about time for my to log for Real Life stuff

Pofire, Halls of Honor, (Any non instanced) DoN zone pretty much, Droga (could be Nurga because i get those two places confused, which ever one is the higher level one) - if u have decent gear then you can straight up tank that place without a healer. That's all I can think of right off the top of my head.. If i remember some more i will reposte. At lvl 67 my suggestion is HoH though. Easy kitable mobs and plenty of room to circle in the basement. How are you AE'ing PoV? AE is nerfed. do not charge for 70, at the very very very least get fading memories, it will really serve you well while soloing, not just while pulling. You should get that asap before your next tick of reg exp. As for solo spots, Plane of Nightmare is nice and easy, for swarming on the far side of the river. Personally, I like kiting in MPG. Tipt is good. Another favorite, if you can, is by getting 69.1 dod mission, in the hive. If not, the hive uninstanced is still an awesome awesome place. You could try kiting in Noble's Causeway and see how that appeals to you. And if you're looking for some variety in swarm kiting, Crypt of Nadox can be a fun place to swarm.

Yes, stop and get Fade now, every bard is expected to have it once they reach 63, you will find it will help you develop better pulling skills. Its nice to have when you are learning to pull and you get 3 adds and you can fade rather than have them come wipe your group. As for solo spots, since you have virtually no AA, you are basically stuck with kiting with chants or charm kiting (depending on your mana regen). With out any of the melee, offensive, or defensive AA's pretty much anything in your level range for exp will mow you down. Unless you have access to very uber raid gear that is.

I am REALLY unfamiliar with the new DoN zone stuff and was curious what you meant by the non-instanced zones. Is that were you talk to the people in Lavastone for faction and then go into the cave? Something like that it's been so long, I got my butt beat tryin to solo that area. So I was curious if you were suggesting to kite. Also, I can't find a post here where it tells you how to do HoH. I've heard that is a great spot to kite, but am timid to try since I don't really know the zone. I'm lvl 65 and am going to pump out some aa's (i only have 6). I appreciate ANY help you can give me on some suggestions for soloing spots. I'm familiar with charm kiting. thanks!!!

What makes HoH "good" is that there are wide open spaces, easy single pulls, and most of the mobs do not summon. This makes it a popular zone among kiters. As for a guide, there are multiple kite camps, maybe just start in the graveyard on the left when you zone in, pull mobs to there, and get a feel for it.

A good kiting spot, though not a solo spot, is DoDh 69.1. There is usually some necros druids and rangers LFG that will want to join you. Some necros on 7th hammer server have not put up "Anything but 69.1" in their LFG message though hehe. After they get all the drops of the shield, the +4 mana regen aug and the gory belt, and the Emporer Sandvarrow gem; sometimes they lose interest in all the fast aa. I keep going back there to get 3-6 aa per mission and because its so easy. If your still lvl 67 then you will be limited to the normal version of the mission or if you can get your average grp level above 68 then you can do the hard one. The difference between the two are the mobs are all red to 70, and the loot is different. Nothing summons on either one and since your kiting, how much they hit for 'shouldnt' matter. Hello ) Here is a map of HoH with the good spots you can find ! [image]http://www.carionmineraux.com/AN/hoh.jpg[/image] Nothing along the path sees invis, so start invis and go to: Spot 1: You have plenty of space to kit: 3 mobs in each room, and a chance to spawn 2 named armors (I don't remeber the name ^^) wich drop any kind of parchment. The ph for the armors are the valorian guards at the far end of the room in front of you when you enter. Spot 2: Plenty of space to kit too: kit the cats (wrulon) for some loot, and catch the lieutenants and kill them too for parchment. Spot 3: Same as spot 1, but the space to kit seems smaller. I try to be as accurate as I recall because I stop playing a year and a half ago, and I didn't go to HoH when SoE nerf AEs ^^ Good luck ! Call me a dumb bard but I can't find this guide for the life of me. Search isn't working properly and the manual search didn't bear any fruit either. Any help with a link anyone?

There are non instanced versions of every instanced DoN zone. Thundercrest Isles, Lavaspinners Lair, The Ascent, all of them. Most of them have zone ins off of the Broodlands, the rest have zone ins in the other zones. Such as the Ascent (non instanced) zone in is off of Stillmoon Temple and so on. Hope that helps.

The entrance to the Hive is off of Stoneroot. I guess you haven't done the Slipgear quest yet. Btw The Hive is part of DoDH not DoN.

And that statement doesn't apply to DoDh... there are instanced zones which don't have a static version.

Oops.. sorry.. was thinking of the "Nest" (Accursed Nest)... I keep getting those 2 names mixed up. I see that Allakhazam says it's off of Broodlands and has a non-instanced zone... I think I'm just blind and I'll have to go a-searchin once again. Yes I have my slipgear gem, did the walkthrough in the Hive shrouded as a Gob at lvl 51.

The static zone for the Nest is in the volcano in the middle of the lake.
