Try grouping, lol, after all, its a multiplayer game for a reason. You can get an aa in a little over an hour in most tier2/tier3 zones with anything resembling a decent group, and its much more fun. You can get an AA in less than 45 mins in elemental planes.

Been grouping since lvl 1 just trying to expand my knowledge it's said some where on the boards that you can't group well without knowing how to swarm. Just trying to learn.

    Re: Where to Swarm Kite?

So you're saying you leveled your bard to 65 without learning to swarm kite? WOW! That must have taken quite a while. All I can say is cut that out, you're giving bards a good name... ROFL If you want to LEARN to swarm, I'd suggest the same places I send people in their 40s, to either EW to swarm ulthorks or TD to swarm Spirocs. Don't worry that you won't get exp, just get down the techique. Then you can move on to stuff that may give you exp. The stuff that will is likely much harder to swarm, so you should have the basics down before you try. Lastly, expect to die a few times, or have to run to zone when first starting out, it takes a bit to get the hang of. As for not being a good group bard if you can't swarm, I'd love to hear their logic on that one. Aside from being able to kite adds to save train wipes, I'm not sure how relevent swarming is to grouping. Could just be me though. Good luck and congrats on 65 the hard way! Sinfonian

    Re: Where to Swarm Kite?

I actually just learned to swarm kite myself...I had been a terrible soloer and a druid friend tried to teach me to kite but it just wasn't working. It took another very skilled bard to teach me the tricks of the trade bardy style! ;) You're right, it is a total rush! I learned in PoN at the stalker camp and it took about 5 or 6 deaths before I mastered it but now, to my amazement, I find it rather relaxing! In the past couple of weeks I've regularly swarm kited in PoN and even do some kiting in PoV! At 61, PoN is starting to slow down with the regular experience...4 hours last night got me about a yellow. But I'm wagering that the AA experience is great. PoV is slow as far as numbers of mobs you're killing but with a druid team it isn't so bad and the experience is amazing. I've always considered myself an excellent group bard and a horrible soloer so I'm with Sinfonian...I fail to see how the skill in one relates to the skill in the other. I do find that my overall targetting skill has sharpened a bit and I have a better eye for space and distance but more than anything else it's made me appreciate "alone time" without the call for mana or haste! :D Plus I can't tell you how embarassing it was to admit to fellow bards that I had no idea how to kite at level 59... That sort of admission was always followed with the inevitable belief that I was a purchased character or that I was PLed. I'm just social is all ;) I love grouping and raiding and I didn't ever want to solo until I was made a raid leader...suddenly the solitude is more inviting.

Your guild made a bard a raid leader?? How very very odd... Usually raid leaders are pure melee, or pure-casters, aside from chanters. Doesnt work too well from my experiance to have the busier classes in charge, as they are, well, busy. Lol, can see it now....unexpected adds, your guild is about to wipe, and instead of calls to camp, all you tell them is "1122331122" and then the cleric bites it, lol.

    Re: Where to Swarm Kite?

LOL yeah...well I have sent tells like that but not generally during raids ;) We have it set up so there is always a leader and a co-leader plus I often have one of the other officers or guildies on the phone with me...so, there are other ways to transfer instructions. Women are great multi-taskers! Everybody knows that! :D
