    DIVA'S

Hi All, Did not ever check back to EQ1, and only just decided it was time to do a lil memory lanbe and visit EQDIVA. Great to see this eq2 added. EQ2 bards are totally different from our eq1 predecessors. The depth of 6 years of development is missing, and the game is still very young. All in all, I am enjoying it more then EQ1 though. The reasons are a nicer story line while playing, less involved playing style of the bard (yup, I don't miss twisting :o ), and a more controled progression. Don't believe the blaaaa-ers, there are just to many of them. both in here as in EQ1 :D Hope to cyou all online, and heads of to my fella Diva's Firza-=Sings for Glory and Drama=-

Its interesting, but we are still seeing new EQII people inquiring about EQ2 bards on the forums (having played a bard in EQ1). They pretty much always get a chorus of "its not the same bard as you had in EQ1" nevertheless, a lot of folks are happy with the state of EQ2. Me personally, expecting over a year at the level cap (raise is planned for summer of 07, I think)? I think, if Vanguard lives up to expectations (lol no way it can), EQ2 will take a big hit. I have seen 2 guilds form recently on my server in the last few weeks with the express purpose of moving 'in-mass' to Vanguard when it launches. I am not sure a horizontal expansion will do much for the existing player base, but could be successful enough to occupy a few alts and attract some new players.

    Re: DIVA'S

I've been playing on one of the new(er) PvP servers in eq2 lately, and I think I'm now a convert. I used to read about griefing etc. regarding eq1 PvP, and the whole idea just nauseated me. But I have to say that PvP adds and element of challenge and danger that eq2 was SORELY lacking PvE. I had quit eq2 out of boredom / disappointment quite some time ago. Basically, if you have a tank, 2 healers, and assorted dps in your group, you can take on any white or yellow con group content and win every time with complete idiots mindlessly spamming the same 5 buttons in every fight. Combine that with almost no penalty for death, and you have the recipe for a game full of max level n00bs who play sloppily. NOT so in PvP, hehe. Idiots DIE in PvP fights. And I rather enjoy being the one killing them, lol.

Scherzo, you might have enjoyed Nizara. A fairly difficult lvl 70 zone in the most recent expansion which requires a mezzer for most groups. (they kinda fixed illusionists). Nevertheless, while a lot of the level 70 content was challenging, as people get mastered and raid geared up, the content is getting a fairly trivial in a lot of these. That's no different than it was in my time in EQ1. For casual players like myself, there is still a lot of quest content and raid content for me to struggle through. I have to decide if I am gonna raid, level up alts, or try PvP if I am gonna stick around in EQ2 till Vanguard.

We are on Venekor. I'm playing Feroce, a Guardian (have a currently retired former Coercer -- betrayed into Illusionist named Noctourne). Cantilena/Sujae is Sujae, Templar. Abizen (Mage from Nellarmonia) is Abizen the Ranger. Roster: http://eq2players.station.sony.com/en/guild_roster.vm?guildId=1615122

    Re: DIVA'S

been playing a little PVP myself lately, and must admit it does add some spice. Tried healing for the first time in my life and really like it. Of course, once EOF comes out I will be 100 % playing Firza (Gnome Dirge) again:) If and when Vanguard comes out I am really afraid it won't offer much more then just another grind fest. I will try it out though, just to make sure I don't miss out on the best game ever :D
