    They got us again....

It's not a major deal, but...

If you're kiting a largish group -- so it'll take more than a half hour to kill 'em all -- after about 1/2 hour (or so... I didn't really check the exact time) the mobs will stop aggro'ing on you, return to 100% health and just... wander off.

I was kiting about 10 bears in Icefall (I know... but it's easier to get them all at once and not have to stop for refills. LOL) ... I had damaged them all with chants to establish aggro... and after a while, they all just lost interest and went about their normal pathing.  And they all were at 100% too.

Glad that last patch didn't have any changes in it... /sigh

I haven't noticed anything like this yet.  Mobs do have a slow regen, even if they are attacking you.  Is it possible you hit your number key for fade by mistake?  I never chant kite huge groups... instead I charm/swarm kite them.  The exp. to time ratio is much higher no matter you level.

I'll have to check into this because you got me curious now. Big Smile

This is not a recent change.  Mobs have always had a max duration they could stay interested it you (well at least since Luclin release when i started my bard).

Similarily, Fade has a radius limit.  If you have aggro on a mob and it runs from you and gets far away passing aggro as it goes, at a certain distance Fade will cease to do anything.  The mobs far away will still have aggro on you.  You may be out of their notice range however... so when you move a bit, that is when the mega train might happen.

Hummm that is another one I have never heard about... a radius limit on Fade.

When ever I hit fade, the OOC icon pops up and I can't re-aggro anything by accident.  You can even out-run aggro without fade, I do this all the time when running past the see-invis at the bottom of the LP ramp.  About 2 seconds after you hit the waterline, you lose aggro and your OOC starts up.  You can run all the way back and not re-aggro.  Likewise... ive gotten all the way there (almost to the water) to find the camp I want taken and fade off aggro and turn around and run back.  Getting close to the see-invis the mobs do not remember me, that is at the extent of aggro range before the automatically forget you.

Of course there is a "dead zone"  where mobs stop following you but do not forget about you, that is unless they walk back to their spawn point past the "dead zone" and your OOC will start again.  Running back will not re-aggro unless you pull.  Of course this has nothing to do with fade, it's the same with all classes.

The only time where I have found that fade will not work, is when a mob is running from you at low health.  That mob will always remember you unless you kill it or zone.  It will stop running when you fade, but as you get close again, it will start running.
