Well it seems since the BoT drop rate upgrade these things are no longer rare. I've seen being sold about 5 times in the bazaar now. I should have waited on buying a pair. Got mine for 50k and 2 days later saw some for 35k.

They are down to 25k now on our server (torvo) however I still don't have enough, lol. some day...

Nah still 40-50k on torvo, a few cut throat ones sold for like 25k and 35k, but they sold faster than I could get other bards down there for heh.

The drop rate is killing the percussion instrument market. I saw Selo's drums of the March selling for 1k in the Bazaar yesterday. If TDoK drops any further, Drums of the Beast are gonna be super cheap. Anyway, I would get them while they are hot... I have this feeling that Sony is going to drop the nerf hammer on the drop rate... big time, and soon. This is just speculation, but seeing as how they are the second best drums in the game, and the best drums in the game that any non-elemental bard can get... you can bet Sony didn't "intend" for them to drop as commonly as they are now. My suggestion... buy em, trade for em, just get your hands on them while they are cheap. Just this creepy feeling I have about Sony/Verant and they're "unintentional" mistakes in drop rates. I'm feeling a disturbance in the force... and it feels like a friggin' gigantic nerf bat.

Two for sale last night on MT... 70k and 140k... hmm wonder where my server has been hiding while they drop elsewhere. hehe, I can't even afford 20k. lol I'll camp DoTB and be happy. Sinfonian

Haha yeah sony might fix it but not before the damage is gets worse. It's kind of the opposite though heh, before they patched BoT's drop rate there were like only 3 or so on torv.

I got mine last night on the 3rd named pulled. Wasnt the dog, it was some named that popped near the Stoves in the south wing. We got 2 dogs, then that guy popped. Every time I go to the table's camp, there is someone saying that drums just dropped a couple hours ago. So I would say that on Quellious, where there is almost ALWAYS a tables/midsouth group going, that there are 5 drums dropping a day at least. That is a LOT of high powered drums.

Yes, and I have to agree with one of the above posters.... I think the drop rate will be, how shall I say? Altered? Fixed? Nerfed? Whatever, but it'll decrease. I haven't been playing as I'm going to summer school, and I had the horrible feeling that the change would happen before I had time to play again in 3 weeks. As they're dropping so much, I was able to pick up a pair for 15kpp on EMarr (emptied bank, but worth it). For that price, it's a total steal. Good luck, Cuivien Chanteur

Aye, its destroying the Drum Market on Vazaelle. Ive seen TDoK go from 140 k to as low as 30 k. Drums of the beast have gone for as low as 16 k and selos march drum for 8 k. The pricess keep dropping as market is flooded with Karana drums :( should have sold my Beast Drums months ago. hehe Tulban Vazaelle

A guildie of mine got a TDoK yesterday for 5K on Inny. That's still uncharactaristically low, though. Usually it's between 10K and 30K.

10-15k on BB. VI really got the drop rate right on the 2nd best drum in the game... /rolls eyes Now every bard on my server is going to have the 2nd best drum in the game. /sigh At least I have them too.

Its not a contest....If every bard has the second best drums in the game, that just means that every bard will have to work to get the first best drums, and failing that, we all run pretty damn fast :) As far as comments to the drum market..Im a bard, I WANT things to be less expensive. I think its pretty rude the way that bard only items that have absolutely no value to anyone but a bard are a source of exploitation. Some items, for example the tear shaped ring, sell for 80k or more, with stats that really would be more fitting on a 2-3k ring or item. The fact that the ring has a mod for strings equal to the Epic is nice, but 80k? Not worth it Imo ME On the other hand, i would give my epic for a battle drummers main gauche :)

Hi Sychophant, I'm just saying that the market is getting kicked in the sack and flooded with THE best drum in the game that any casual player will see. The #1 drum in the game drops from a long drawn out PoEB ring event that after an elementally equipped guild goes through once... and now since CoH has been fixed in PoE... won't go through again most likely just for an uber drum or weapon. I guarantee you that 95% of all bards out there will not be elemental flagged nor will the hard working 5% that is see the drums let alone get a set. That makes these the #1 drums in the game for 98% of bards... That said, do you think that a Blade of Carnage or similar droppable #1 item in the game should be 10k for other characters??? is that balanced? Am I the pot calling the kettle black... perhaps, I am lvl 59 and purchased these fine drums for a rock bottom price. Anyway, I'm just saying that class wise, it's unbalanced and should probably be fixed. Just one more quick thing... Epic dominates Battle-Drummers Main Gauche in almost every respect. BDMG has a better melee ratio and .2 of a better mod... Epic has sick stats, resists and HP, has a 1.8 mod for all instruments, and gives an 80% singing mod to your DS songs as well as some other various sung songs... trade Epic for BDMG assuming that was possible... never.

Well, the drums are getting cheaper, and there is nothing wrong with that... a drum does not make a bard. Of course a blade of carnage does not make a warrior either, but it comes a lot closer than the drum does. A bard is a lot more than a chant kiter who runs fast. Nothing wrong with chant kiting, I do it occationally too, BUT if that is all a bard learns, then they are a VERY bored bard. So if i can get some of these drums, cool, if not, I have MANY other tallents that don;t require them. I am currently happy with my brand new Selos Drums of the March. =) And when you figure how many bards spend AA differently, you can have a bard with TDoK but no AA spent to raise instrument effectiveness doing less damage than a bard with DoTB and max AA in that area. Every bard will be different, it comes with being a bard. We CAN be different, no cookie cutter warriors here. :)
